  • Taapsee was born in Delhi in a Sikh family. Taapsee, who is a Computer Science graduate, completed her schooling and college from Delhi. Taapsee entered the film industry after she featured on the reality show Get Gorgeous.

  • Taapsee, who was offered three films even before her debut hit the screens, appeared in seven films in 2011 in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. She made Aadukalam with Dhanush (her Tamil film debut), Vastadu Naa Raju with Vishnu Manchu, Mr Perfect with Prabhas, Veera with Ravi Teja, Vandhaan Vendraan with Jiiva, Mogudu with Gopichand and Doubles with Mammootty.

  • Taapsee Pannu began 2018 with a small-budget film like Dil Juunglee and starred opposite Diljit Dosanjh in the recently released Soorma, a sports biopic.   • Taapsee Pannu's Badla marked her first film of 2019. She co-starred with Amitabh Bachchan and Amrita Singh in the film, directed by Sujoy Ghosh. Her next film was Game Over, which released in two languages - Hindi and Telugu. On Independence Day, her film Mission Mangal opened in theatres. It also featured Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Nithya Menen, Kirti Kulhari and Sharman Joshi. Mission Mangal was a commercial hit.

  • Saand Ki Aankh, starring Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead roles, released in October last year. The film was based on the lives of sharpshooters Chandro and Prakashi Tomar.
