Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor's son Taimur is one-year-old today. Last year, at this time Taimur was welcomed to the world by the Kapoors, the Pataudis and their fans. Only, after his name was announced, the parents were trolled for a choosing a name that resembled the name of Turkish ruler Timur. But Saif and Kareena stood by their choice personifying just what Taimur means - iron and strong.

As time went by, more pictures of Taimur found its way to the internet. One such picture was this, which was apparently taken in Switzerland during Taimur's first vacation with his parents when he was only 8-months-old.

This year Kareena's close friend, filmmaker Karan Johar, also welcomed his twins Roohi and Yash.

Taimur was spotted bonding with the twins at Rani Mukerji's daughter Adira's birthday party earlier in December.

Most of the times, we have seen happy pictures of Taimur. This was one day when Kareena's toddler was a little cranky.

Taimur also accompanies his mother to her work place. He travelled to new Delhi while she filmed Veere Di Wedding and here he was present on an advertisement shoot which also featured Karisma Kapoor. Therefore, Taimur enjoyed the day with his cousins Kiaan and Samiera.

Ahead of Taimur's first birthday, Kareena and Saif left for Pataudi and Karisma, her children and Babita arrived a day later. Karisma shared this picture of Taimur learning horse-riding with Saif while Kareena cheered him on.
