Jolie revealed in May this year that she underwent a double mastectomy, after learning she carried a gene that made it extremely likely she would get breast cancer. The actress' earnings this year come mainly from her role in Disney's upcoming re-imagining of the classic Sleeping Beauty tale, Maleficent.

    The Salt actress also topped the Forbes' highest paid actress list in 2011.
  • Jennifer Lawrence: The actress is in demand after her Oscar award win for Silver Linings Playbook and her bow-weilding Katniss Everdeen act from The Hunger Games. She took the second spot with earnings of USD 26 million in the list after Lionsgate reportedly offered her a fat paycheque for the second installment of The Hunger Games, Catching Fire.
  • Kristen Stewart: The actress, who topped the list last year, made most of her money from the Twilight series and from the movie Snow White And The Huntsman. This year, she took the third spot with estimated earnings of USD 22 million.
  • Jennifer Aniston: The F.R.I.E.N.D.S star, with a reported income of USD 20 million, earns big from her endorsement deals with Vitamin Water and Aveeno skin care.
  • Emma Stone: With earnings of USD 16 million, Emma Stone takes the fifth place in the list on the strength of her role in the 2012 superhero film The Amazing Spider-Man.
  • Charlize Theron: Earnings from movies like Snow White And The Huntsman and Prometheus and high end brand endorsements like Dior took the actress to sixth position in the Forbes' list. Her reported income is USD 15 million.
  • Sandra Bullock: With two releases this year, The Heat and Gravity, Sandra Bullock is at number seven with reported earnings of USD 14 million.
  • Natalie Portman: The Black Swan actress, who stars in the second film of the Thor series this year, is ranked 8th in the list with earnings of USD 14 million.
  • Mila Kunis: The That '70s Show actress makes her debut in the Forbes' list with a reported income of USD 11 million, thanks to films like Ted and Oz: The Great and Powerful which made a combined global earning of USD 1 billion.
  • Julia Roberts: The Pretty Woman actress, who will return to the big screen with the film August: Osage County, rounds off the top 10 list with reported income of USD 11 million.
