Inside the Bachchans' Grand Diwali Party

Bollywood stars like Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha, among others, converged at megastar Amitabh Bachchan's annual Diwali celebrations at his Mumbai residence on October 23. The actors stepped out in their finest for a night of revelry. Take a look.

The Bachchans played perfect party hosts. Amitabh Bachchan, his son Abhishek and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai posed with celebrity photographer Dabboo Ratnani and his wife Manisha at the party.
The Bachchan bahu looked glamorous in a pink embellished anarkali. Minimal accessories, dazzling smile and wavy hair finished-out her look.

Bachchan bahu Aishwarya Rai and husband Abhishek were spotted entertaining their little daughter Aaradhya with fire crackers before the party began.
Aishwarya, dressed in a shimmering pink suit, clad her cute daughter in a bright orange lehenga.

Actress Deepika Padukone, who has a big release out in Happy New Year, was dressed to party in a perky red sari. She was spotted warmly embracing hostess Jaya Bachchan.

Actress Kangana Ranaut Queen-ed it in a Raw Mango ensemble of a royal blue and zari silk skirt teamed with a matching fitted choli and dupatta.

Actress Nargis Fakhri, pretty in a bright yellow SVA by Sonam and Paras Modi sari, posed with actors Hrithik Roshan, Uday Chopra and Sikander Kher.

Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar wife Anjali, in a beige and turquoise suit, posed with Abhishek.

The elder Bachchans were at the doorway to greet their guests - Mrs B in a classy beige sari and Big B in a royal blue outfit.

Junior Bachchan changed into a pink outfit similar to his dad's for the party.

Fashion's favourite child, actress Sonam Kapoor, was pretty in an Anamika Khanna ensemble comprising of a light green lehenga teamed with an asymmetric kurti and cape like dupatta.

Actress Tabu, who has received rave reviews for her performance in Haider, was dazzling in a yolk yellow anarkali with gold gota. She posed with host Big B and newlyweds Aftab Shivdasani and Nin Dusanj.

Actress Sonakshi Sinha styled a red and black Masaba sari with a sequinned blouse. We like!

We only caught a glimpse of actress Shilpa Shetty, glamorous in pink and gold.

Actress Shraddha Kapoor was pretty in an Anamika Khanna ensemble of an embroidered beige lehenga teamed with a contrasting green choli and net dupatta. We love Shraddha's jhumkis.

Actress Aditi Rao Hydari was bright in a pink kurta and dupatta teamed with flowy white palazzo pants by Amrita Thakur.

Actress Raveena Tandon was somewhat swamped by a heavy embroidered floor length anarkali. She arrived hand-in-hand with husband, producer Anil Thadani.

Keeping up with the Sinhas: Actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha posed with his wife Poonam, daughter Sonakshi and sons Luv and Kush.

Actress Neha Dhupia also wore a Raw Mango outfit similar to Kangana's but skipped the dupatta.

Actress Urmila Matondkar and VJ-singer Sophie Choudry were also spotted at the do, all decked up. While Urmila looked dressed for the shaadi mandap, Sophie was slightly more subdued in Manish Malhotra.

Actress Prachi Desai opted for a simple white lehenga-choli for the do, accessorising it with heavy jhumkis, matching bracelet-kada and a drawstring bag.

A heavily pregnant Genelia D'Souza was glowing in a pink and yellow floor-length anarkali. Genelia smiled as she posed with her husband, actor Ritesh Deshmukh, who was also in a yellow kurta, complementing Genelia's outfit.

Actress Sonali Bendre, dressed in a shaded blue sari and embroidered blouse, posed for the photographers with her husband, producer Goldie Behl, and son Ranveer.

Big B's niece Naina Bachchan was simple in a cream and gold sari, while her fiance Kunal Kapoor opted for a kurta-pyjama and jawahar jacket look.

Actor Farhan Akhtar, who will be seen with Big B in Do, looked dashing in the black sherwani kurta and pathani salwar.

Filmmaker Karan Johar escorted his mother Hiroo Johar to the do.

Varun teamed a white blazer of sorts with a pathani salwar to interesting effect.

Actor Ronit Roy came with his wife Neelam, who was dressed in an embellished pink anarkali.

Kumkum Bhagya actor Shabbir Ahluwalia arrived with his pregnant wife, actress Kanchi Kaul. Kanchi was pretty in a white embroidered suit matched with a bright red churidaar and dupatta.
