This week will see two fresh faces - Zoa Morani in SRK's home production Always Kabhi Kabhi and Vedita Pratap Singh in the already controversial Bhindi Baazaar Inc.
As far as debuts go, the two roles could not be more different. -
Zoa, daughter of Karim Morani (founder of Cineyug films and currently accused and arrested in the 2G scam) will be making her big debut alongside other relative newbies in Roshan Abbas' high school romance Always Kabhi Kabhi.
-
Vedita on the other hand will be seen at her raunchy best in Ankush Bhatt's thriller Bhindi Baazaar Inc.
-
Zoa will be seen alongside Ali Fazal, Giselli Monteiro and Satyajeet Dubey.
-
Vedita takes on the role of Shabana, younger sister of Bano (Deepti Naval).
-
Always Kabhi Kabhi is a coming of age film, revolving around the lives of four students at their school, St Marks.
-
Vedita will be seen as Shabana, an over-ambitious girl who can go to any limit to achieve what she wants in life.
-
Zoa plays the role of Nandini, the 'Mean Girl' of the school.
-
Bhindi Baazaar Inc has already created waves, courtesy Vedita, with the sensationalised sex scene between Shabana and Mamu (Pawan Malhotra). According to reports, the film has four intimate scenes and trailer has created a buzz.
-
Zoya's Nandini hates Tariq, played by Satyajeet Dubey.
-
Vedita's Shabana on the other hand has two partners played by Pawan Malhotra and Prashant Narayan.
-
Zoa's love in the film - betting!
-
Talking about her love-making scenes in the film, Vedita said "I am an actress, and it is my duty to be loyal to the script. My intentions were purely professional and it was necessary for the story, so what should I regret and why?"
-
Zoa, as Nandini, sports a preppy look through the film.
-
"I warned my mother about the scenes and have already told her so that she doesn't get shocked (on seeing them). But my mother was like, 'It's okay, I understand this is your profession. But maintain your dignity and respect.' I know I have to do that and I'm careful about that," the 24-year-old, whose parents were not comfortable with her joining movies, told IANS.
-
The film weaves together the story of four very different key characters in the school.
-
Vedita also added, "No one is forced to do anything here."
-
The Red Chillies production will also feature SRK in an item number titled Antenna.
-
"Initially, I was a bit taken aback because I had not done anything of this sort before. But I got used to the idea after a while. I realized Shabana is a strong character and these scenes are important, so I went ahead with them," said Vedita.
