Jacqueline Fernandez was born in Colombo to a Sinhalese Sri Lankan father and Malaysian mother. At the age of three, her family moved to Bahrain where she spent most of her childhood. Jacqueline graduated in Mass Communication from Australia before moving to Sri Lanka to model.

The actress' next big release was another multi-starrer film Race 2 (2013), sequel to the 2008 hit film Race. Plucky Jacqueline reportedly refused to use a body double and performed her own stunts in the film.
The film minted money at the box office and Jacqueline amassed a huge following for her stunning looks in the film. -
But the movie that will probably be the turning point in her career is 2014's Kick in which she featured opposite Salman Khan. The film, which is already a blockbuster has collected Rs 200 crores in just 11 days and Jacqueline has received much appreciation for her talent and incredible screen presence in the film.
