Bollywood actor Salman Khan, in Ahmedabad to promote his new film Jai Ho, attended a kite flying festival with Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today.

Salman flew a colourful kite, watched by Mr Modi. Salman has earlier flown a kite in Gujarat, but on-screen only – in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.

Salman and Mr Modi enjoyed a special lunch together before flying the kite. They ate Undhiyu, a Gujarati delicacy.

Salman and Narendra Modi also jointly addressed the media. The actor said: "God will decide who is the best man for the country. May the best man win."

Narendra Modi seemed happy about his lunch with Salman as he posted on twitter:
“Having Undhiyu for lunch with Salman Khan. Undhiyu is a Gujarati delicacy and is a must-have during Uttarayan!”
He also posted a picture of himself with Salman Khan, in conversation with each other.
