Actress Kangana Ranaut has a lot to look forward to this year with five movies lined up for release - I Love New Year, Shootout at Wadala, Ungli, Krrish 3 and Rajjo. We gift her a life recap today, her 26th birthday.

Kangana was born in Himachal Pradesh and went to school in Dehradun. while in college, she moved to Delhi and joined a modelling agency. She then joined a theatre group and acted in several pays including Girish Karnad's Taledanda (Rakt-Kalyan).
Kangana made her Bollywood debut in 2006 in Gangster opposite Emraan Hashmi and Shiney Ahuja.
She then acted in Woh Lamhe, which was based on Parveen Babi's life. Kangana played the protagonist in the movie, which also starred Shiney Ahuja.

Kangana's performance in Anurag Basu's Life In A Metro earned her rave reviews.
In 2008 came Madhur Bhandarkar's Fashion starring Priyanka Chopra, Kangana and Mugdha Godse. Kangana played a supermodel in the movie who is addicted to drugs. Her performance won her the National Award for Best Supporting Actress.
After giving a couple of flops, Kangana was seen romancing Ajay Devgn in Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai in 2010.

Also in 2010 was Knock Out, a remake of the Hollywood movie Phone Booth, opposite Sanjay Dutt and Irrfan Khan.
In the same year, Kangana was seen in the comedy flick No Problem.
2011 started on a good note for Kangana as her movie Tanu Weds Manu co-starring R Madhavan did fairly well at the box office.

But her other releases that year namely Game, Double Dhamaal and Rascals all flopped.
In 2012, Kangana had just one release - Tezz - and that too didn't impress the audience at all.
