After being in news for all the wrong reasons, director Madhur Bhandarkar's dream project and highly controversial film Heroine went on floors recently with Kareena Kapoor in the lead.
After much heartache and controversy, Madhur Bhandarkar's dream project Heroine went on floors this Saturday (Nov 26) with Kareena Kapoor in the lead.
Madhur wrote on his blog: Today, I start shooting for my next project, Heroine. Am I excited, nervous or ecstatic? Actually, I am very calm because movie making is one thing that comes very naturally to me. I am happy for sure, as always, to be on the next project and work after months of brainstorming.
"Heroine is a very contemporary subject of today's time. It has different premises and different strata that I am going to deal with here. What I could say is different about Heroine as compared to all my other movies is that it is a bigger movie. It has a larger span, more characters, more costumes… a journey that revolves around an actress' life and showbiz," Madhur posts in "Heroine Diaries". The director says it's his way of taking his fans through the movie.
He also tweeted a picture with Kareena, with the caption, "Pic with Heroine."
Arjun Rampal plays the main lead in the film. Seen here with Kareena and Madhur.
Arjun and the entire team of Heroine celebrated his birthday on the film's sets. "Starting Heroine on my birthday, a good start to a new year ahead. Thanks @mbhandarkar268 kareena, Ronnie, Sid," Arjun posted on Nov 26.
