Katrina parties with Salman's sisters

Last week, it was reported that Katrina Kaif had spent a quiet evening with her Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahaani co-star Ranbir Kapoor and his family. Now, Kat's been spotted partying with ex-boyfriend Salman Khan's's sisters, Arpita and Alvira, on Thursday night.

Salman's li'l sister posted this picture on social networking site Twitter and wrote: Girls@ Mohammed Ali rd!" Also seen in the picure is Indian Idol 6 host Mini Mathur, who is married to Ek Tha Tiger director Kabir Khan.

Girls just wanna have fun. Arpita tweeted: "Went to Mohammed Ali Rd last night,what an experience."

Bollywood beauty Katrina Kaif, who turned 28 on Monday (July 16), skipped a grand birthday bash this year, just as she has done every year since the infamous Salman vs SRK fight at her 24th birthday party. But she didn't have to go without any celebrations at all. The actress reportedly visited ex-boyfriend Salman's home for a hush-hush birthday party.

A source told Mid-Day.Com: “It was Katrina's plan to fool the media and she did manage to some extent. She had her own plans chalked out and did not want anyone in the media to know about it. That's exactly the reason why she asked the shutterbugs waiting outside her home to not follow her when she left her house on Monday night.” While Kat readily posed for photographs outside her residence, she told the waiting cameras in no uncertain terms not to follow her. The paparazzi apparently had no other option but to oblige her.

The Chikni Chameli of Bollywood Katrina Kaif celebrates her 28th birthday. Recent reports suggest that she has been roped in by filmmaker Ketan Mehta for his next biopic titled Noor. The actress will play the role of Noor Inayat Khan, an Indian princess who became a British spy during World War II.

It seems, for Katrina work comes before family, as she recently cut short her family vacation to be a part of the launch of the first song of her upcoming film Ek Tha Tiger opposite ex-beau Salman Khan.

The actress has also landed herself a meaty role in the sequel to Prakash Jha's Rajneeti.

One of the most Googled actress, Katrin was named World's Sexiest Woman for the fourth year in a row by FHM magazine. Based on a public poll, the actress beat Hollywood stars like Megan Fox, Angelina Jolie and Blake Lively.

Katrina was born in Hong Kong to a Kashmiri father and British mother.

She has seven siblings and was raised in Hawaii and later moved to her mother's home country, England.

When she was just 14, Katrina was approached by an agent and she began modelling; her first assignment was for a jewellery campaign.

She continued modelling in London, under a contract with the Models 1 Agency and did campaigns for La Senza and Arcadius.

Katrina stirred up quite a fuss with her Bollywood debut in Kaizad Gustad's Boom, in 2003.

A pretty girl, all of 18, back then, she made headlines for her uber-glamorous entry via her skin show in the film.

When Boom bombed at the box office, Katrina took the obvious escape hatch: the Southern film industry.

She forayed thrice down South, the first couple of times with Malliswari and Allari Pidugu and the third time with Malayalam flick Balram Vs. Taradas.

2005 remained her most golden year starting with an extended cameo as Abhishek Bachchan's NRI girlfriend in Ram Gopal Varma's Sarkar.

After Sarkar, she went on to form a long term Partner-ship (both on-screen and off) with Salman Khan, kicking off their chemistry with David Dhawan's Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya.

Two years later, Katrina's meteoric rise in the industry was further propelled with blockbusters like Namastey London, Apne, Partner and Welcome - kicking off her golden pairing with Akshay Kumar.

A year later, Katrina's 100 per cent hit-rate split into a 50-50 divide. Her first negative role, in Abbas-Mastan's twist-ridden Race, fetched crores at the box office.

Her fourth pairing with Akshay Kumar in Singh Is Kinng also rocked at the box office.

But her near-perfect run at the box office, which led some critics to tout her as every director's lucky charm, came to an abrupt end with Atul Agnihotri's Hello, and Subhash Ghai's epic flop Yuvraaj.

2009 picked up well for Katrina, as her first Yash Raj Films venture, New York became the first official hit of the year.

Raj Kumar Santoshi's second foray into the comedy genre with Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani marked Katrina's another on-and-off-screen pairing, this time with playboy Ranbir Kapoor.

The year ended on a bad note for her, with her sixth outing with Akshay Kumar, De Dana Dan, flopping at the box office.

2010 brought with it another 50-50 split, with Prakash Jha's Raajneeti flooring both critics and audiences alike and bringing with it first glowing reviews of Katrina's performance. Her pairing with Ranbir, once again, was seen as one of the highlights of the film.

However, all the generated goodwill vanished with Farah Khan's unimaginably grotesque Tees Maar Khan.

Katrina, however, still had something to smile about, as her fan-favourite item number, Sheila Ki Jawani grabbed eyeballs.

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, where she was paired directly opposite Hrithik Roshan and shares enviable chemistry with Farhan Akhtar, Abhay Deol and the inimitable Kalki Koechlin, proved to be a scorcher at the box office as it became one of the biggest hits of the year.

She was also seen in the candyfloss comedy Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, with Imran Khan and Ali Zafar in 2011.

Katrina, who sizzled in the item number Sheila Ki Jawaani from Tees Maar Khan, set the temperature soaring in the item number Chikni Chameli from Agneepath.

Katrina will be seen next in Ek Tha Tiger opposite ex-beau Salman Khan. The film is directed by Kabir Khan, who previously directed Katrina in New York.

She has also signed Yash Chopra's magnum opus starring Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma.

With a filmography so colourful and largely full of hits, it's safe to say this beautiful belle is here to stay.
