Katrina wants Salman back?

Three years after the infamous party where SRK-Salman clashed, Katrina Kaif is now all set to throw another birthday bash in Mumbai for close friends. According to a friend of the actor: "After what happened at her birthday party three years ago Katrina developed a paranoia about hosting a party. A very private person by nature, she was outraged and embarrassed by what transpired between the two Bollywood titans on her special day. She wouldn't step out of her home for any social event for weeks after." But now finally, the actress has decided to let bygones be bygones and is all set to throw a grand party, where she wants to invite all the people who make a difference to her life in one way or another.

According to reports, Salman apparently got into a heated argument with then-friend Shah Rukh and brought the party to an abrupt end. A cold war between the two Khans has ensued since.

According to reports, this was a deal breaker for Katrina and another set of 'break-up' rumours did rounds.

Recently there were rumours that Katrina has found herself at the crossroads once again and she needs to be rescued by a Khan - Salman in particular.

Katrina needs a film with the Khans and the only one in the offing has ex-beau Salman in the lead.
But to bag that role, she needs to patch up with her ex, at least professionally, as he has the last word in the matter.
Katrina has apparently sent him several texts and has even asked Salman's sister Alvira Agnihotri to put in a good word, irritating the actor's family and friends to no end.

Post her break up earlier with Salman, Katrina was making headlines with Ranbir Kapoor.
From her alleged sleep overs to PDA in an aircraft, she was then rumoured to have been ditched by the smooth-talker of Bollywood, for his Rockstar co-actor Nargis.

In 2008, Katrina participated in an episode of Dus ka dum, hosted by Salman Khan, during its first season.

Katrina's second appearance on Dus Ka Dum also included Neil Nitin Mukesh.

The two didn't quite go out of their way to keep their relationship a secret.

As a couple, they appeared on an episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati with host of the show, Shah Rukh Khan.

The couple, even with an enormous age gap, were considered to be on the list of celebrity couples who are 'most likely to get married'.

Like most of Salman's prior relationships, with Katrina there were many ups and downs. One of the most prominent speed bumps in their relationship was when Salman was jailed in 2007. She was seen visiting him, with Arbaaz Khan and Salman's sister Alvira.

In 2009's Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, Salman and Katrina, indirectly, put these break-up rumours to rest with Salman Khan telling Ranbir Kapoor on-screen, "tu to aise darr darr ke mila raha hai jaise meri girlfriend ko apni bataa raha hai"... ( The fearful way you are introducing this girl to me seems as though you are introducing my girlfriend as yours.)

But post the Ranbir-Katrina starrer Rajneeti, speculation was rife about the two being an item.

But off late, Salman and Katrina have created a media frenzy.

Are they dating? Are they not? The questions are flying thick and fast.

At a recent press conference, Katrina made a bold statement:
"If Salman Khan has said he's single, I've also said I'm single. Beyond that I don't think it would be correct to comment."

Katrina made it clear that she was not spoken for. "I believe that till a woman gets married, she is single."

In light of her 'being single' statement, it came as quite a surprise that the apparent 'Ex's' are doing an item number together for Farah Khan's Tees Maar Khan.

Is this a convenient ploy to get back together?

Soon after Katrina's declaration of singledom came Salman's assertion that they were still together. At a press conference for Dabangg he said "Katrina and I are together for your information. Wait, let me think about it, we were till yesterday".

Salman also got defensive as he added, "What do you want to hear? That we are together, or that we aren't? Apparently, according to some, I am doing this as part of creating a hype for my film Dabangg."

"It's my personal life - I don't come to your house and interrogate you..."(sic)

Recently, in another interview, Salman said, "My sister has texted me that I should not talk about Katrina during the promotions of Dabangg and instead hold a special press conference for me and Katrina." said Salman.

This comes as a great surprise with Katrina and Alvira getting on like peanut-butter and jelly before this apparent mishap.

Brothers Salman and Arbaaz have hosted many screenings of Dabangg for the Who's Who of Bollywood. Katrina, though, was missing in action.

In the past, Katrina Kaif has been linked to her favoured co-star Akshay Kumar. This was bound to happen, based on the fact that they share such an amazing on-screen chemistry and half the films that she has to her name are shared with Akshay.

Soon they will be adding Farah Khan's Tees Maar Khan to the list of Humko Deewana Kar Gaye, Namastey London, Singh Is Kinng, De dana dan and Welcome.

Salman's string of disastrous relationships began with his very public involvement with Sangeeta Bijlani.

Though, Salman and Sangeeta had quite the nasty ending to their relationship, they are still friends. In fact, Sangeeta was among those present at Salman's youngest sister Arpita's birthday bash.

Soon Sangeeta was ousted from Salman's life with the entrance of Somy Ali. She was a struggling Pakistani actress, trying to make a name in Bollywood.
