After starring in a string of superhit television shows, Mouni found her big Bollywood break. Mouni often finds a spot on the trends list with, courtesy her fabulous pictures and photoshoots.   • In 2007, television czarina Ekta Kapoor found Mouni Roy and cast her in her then popular show Kyunki... Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, in which she played Smriti Irani's adopted granddaughter Krishna Tulsi. Mouni was an instant hit with the tele-viewers. (Image courtesy: Hotstar)

  • But her biggest claim to fame is the Naagin series produced by Ekta Kapoor. Mouni played the protagonist in two seasons. As revenge seek naagin, Mouni won several hearts. The show had highest TRPs for the longest time and its success was unparalleled.

    Actress Surbhi Jyoti took over from Mouni as the protagonist in the third season of the show, which is currently being aired on television.

  • Mouni debuted on the big screen in Punjabi film Hero Hitler in Love (2011) while she debuted in Bollywood in 2018 film Gold, directed by Reema Kagti. She played Akshay Kumar's onscreen wife and in her limited screen time she received several compliments.

  • Mouni is destined for great stuff in Bollywood as she's currently filming Dharma Productions' Brahmastra, in which she plays antagonist opposite Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. Brahmastra is a trilogy directed by Ayan Mukerji and it also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Akkineni Nagarjuna and Dimple Kapadia.
