Pop diva Madonna and English singer Lady Gaga stunned America on Saturday night by staging a catfight on live TV.

Viewers of 'Saturday Night Live' this weekened got more than they had bargained for when the two sizzling singers appeared on the show together. In the middle of a fictitious MTV show called 'Deep House Dish,' Kenan Thompson announced, "Performing together for the very first time, Lady Gaga and Madonna!"

The two women performed a synchronised dance-off, dressed in matching black lingerie and knee-high boots, as part of a comedy skit, which was called to a halt when Madonna started pulling GaGa's wig and throttling her, yelling, "What the hell is a disco stick?" referring to the younger star's hit.
