The 25-year-old pop superstar went to a special welcoming party in Taichung, where she was presented with the honour by Mayor Jason Chu as part of Lady Gaga Day celebrations, which also saw her given a picture she promised she would hang in her home.

Following the presentation, the Judas singer - who had two-tone hair and wore a red trouser suit matched with a leopard print jacket and bag for the event - was treated to a dance by a group of local children.

Lady Gaga performed a free concert on Sunday to 40,000, and speaking in a press conference on Monday (July 4), she confessed she was shocked at the turnout.
