  • Lara Dutta: Lara Dutta and Mahesh Bhupathi made it official in Victorian style as they exchanged wedding rings at a sunset wedding on 19th February, 2011. Our girl Lara looked every inch the dream she is!
  • Ash-Abhi: When the World's Most Beautiful woman Aishwarya Rai announced her decision to wed Bollywood's Most eligible bachelor Abhishek Bachchan people were expecting a lavish wedding and they were not disappointed. Big B, Jaya Bachchan sent invitation cards to the who's who of Bollywood, business world and leaders. Aishwarya wore a traditional saree on her wedding day. Celebrations were held over three-four days and on the D-Day there was a gamut of people who wanted a glimpse of the groom and his to be wife. The wedding made headlines in almost all TV channels and leading newspapers.
  • Shilpa Shetty: The who's who of Bollywood and eminent personalities from the world of fashion, cricket and politics attended the wedding of Shilpa Shetty with her London-based businessman Raj Kundra.

    Shilpa married Raj in a “fairy-tale wedding” at a glittering ceremony in Khandala, a beautiful hill station in Mumbai on November 22, 2009. The wedding was a private affair but the couple hosted a grand reception in Mumbai for her Bollywood friends which included Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Kangana Ranaut, Karan Johar, among many others. Besides them Union Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel, liquor baron Vijay Mallya, BCCI vice-president Lalit Modi were also seen among other guests at the reception.

    In fact Shilpa's sister Shamita Shetty, who was in the third edition of TV reality show Big Boss, withdrew herslef from the show for the wedding. Shilpa wore a golden Tarun Tahiliani gown for her reception.
  • Sania Mirza: When Indian tennis star Sania Mirza tied the knot with Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Mallik, it was an affair to remember. The wedding took place at Hotel Taj Krishna in Hyderabad. The mehendi and sangeet ceremonies followed later. The couple hosted grand receptions in Hyderabad and Pakistan.
  • Hrithik Roshan, Sussanne Roshan: Hrithik Roshan married his childhood sweetheart Sussanne Khan, daughter of actor Sanjay Khan on December 20, 2000. The wedding ceremony took place at the heavily guarded Golden Palms Resort and Spa, near Bangalore. The wedding was a private affair with just a few friends and relatives of both the families. The elite guest list included Rishi Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor, Jeetendra, Dimple Kapadia, daughter Rinke, Yukta Mookhey, designer Anna Singh, Farah Khan and others.
  • Ayesha Takia: Ayesha Takia married her longtime boyfriend Farhan Azmi in 2009. The reception was attended by Abhishek Bachchan, Sunil Shetty, Dino Morea, Raj Babbar and other celebrities.
  • Virender Sehwag: Cricketer Virender Sehwag had a grand wedding in New Delhi. All the big names from the world of cricket had attended the function.
  • Yogita Jaunpuria and Lalit Tanwar : At the indecently lavish wedding of Lalit and Yogita the estimated cost was a whopping $55 million. 100 dishes, 12 giant TV screens to broadcast proceedings, a copter for the groom and, what's more, a gift of $5,500 for the groom's barber were the order of the day.   • Chiranjeevi daughter: Actor Chiranjeevi's daughter Sushmitha got married to Vishnu Prasad in 2006. Southern superstar Rajinikanth, acotrs Vikram and Sarath Kumar from Chennai graced the occasion. The Telugu film heroes who attended this function included ANR, Krishna, Mohan Babu, Bala Krishna, Nagarjuna, Venkatesh, Pawan Kalyan, Rajasekhar, NTR, Ravi Teja, Prabhas, Siddardha and others. The heroines include Vani Sri, Jaya Sudha, Kushboo, Suhasini, Tabu, Trisha, Shriya, Genelia, Anu Mehta and many others. That's not all top politicians like Chandrababu Naidu, Jana Reddy and Suresh Reddy were also present to bless the couple.
  • Prince Charles and Lady Diana: When Prince Charles and Lady Diana got married a crowd of almost 600,000 people gathered on the streets of London to catch a glimpse of the royal couple. According to reports, there were around 3,500 guests and the estimated TV audience was of 750 million.
  • Amrita Arora:Amrita Arora's wedding to boyfriend Shakeel Ladak was a three-day affair. Her sister Malaika Arora Khan along with hubby Arbaaz hosted a grand reception for the newlyweds. Prior to the wedding, sangeet and mehendi ceremonies were also held. Sangeet was hosted by Salman Khan's sister Alvira. The who's who of Bollywood including best friend Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Sanjay Dutt with wife Maanayata, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif attended the wedding.
  • Vanisha Mittal: Steel baron LN Mittal's wedding for his daughter Vanisha Mittal in 2004 made it to the Forbes list of 'Billionaire Weddings'. Vanisha's marriage to Delhi-born investment banker Amit Bhatia was termed as the "grandest wedding of the century." According to reports $60 million were spent by Mittal. A 20-page invitation in silver boxes was sent out by the Mittals and as many as 1,000 guests were flown in from across the world who stayed at a five-star hotel in Paris. There were five-days of non stop celebrations.

    Australian signer Kylie Minogue performed at the event. And reports also suggest that women guests received a box of jewels at the end of the wedding.
  • Chelsea Clinton: Chelsea Clinton, daughter of former US president Bill Clinton married Marc Mezvinsky, an investment banker at 3G Capital Management in July last 2010

    According to reports, the estimated cost for her wedding hit a whopping 3 million mark. Reports also suggest, her gown by Vera Wang was for $20,000 and so was her wedding cake by Sylvia Weinstock.
  • Laloo's daughter Misa: When Laloo Prasad Yadav's daughter Misa Bharti tied the knot in 1999, Bihar wore a festive look. A special flight brought most of the senior political leaders of different hues to take part in the wedding. All hotels, guest houses and resthouses in Patna were booked for the marriage. Roads and trees near the Chief Minister's residence had been decorated with lamp shades. Hundreds of people from other parts of the state were going round the area to have a glimpse of the marriage of the millennium.
  • Jayalalitha's son: In 1994, Tamil Nadu's former Chief Minister Jayaram Jayalalitha adopted nephew of her aide Sasikala. According to reports, she had personally called on actor Sivaji Ganesan for his granddaughter Sathyalakshmi's hand in marriage for Sudhakaran. In September 1995 Jayalalitha herself monitored the wedding, which made national news for its lavishness. There were reports that more than 100,000 people, many of them Jayalalitha supporters were brought from villages all across the state for the wedding in special buses. At least 12,000 guests sat down for lunch, which was served by 3,500 cooks and waiters. And days before the actual wedding, streets of Chennai city were lit up.
  • Vikram Chatwal: Voted by BBC as the Most Eligible Bachelor, Vikram Chatwal, son of Indian-American businessman Sant Chatwal, tied the knot with Indian model Priya Sachdev in February 2006. The celebrations were spread across 10 days and three cities, Mumbai, Udaipur and Delhi. Over 600 guests from across 26 countries were brought in chartered planes for the wedding. Some of the biggies on the guest list were Lakshmi Mittal, model Naomi Campbell, Patricia Velasquez, rapper P Diddy, HRH Prince Nikolaos of Greece and several Indian celebrities. Former US President Bill Clinton toasted the couple.
  • David and Victoria Beckham: Soccer superstar David Beckham wed former Spice Girl Victoria Adams in July 1999. The couple sat on red velvet thrones on that evening. Victoria wore a tight-fitting silk ivory gown with a 20-foot train, accessorized with a gold diamond-encrusted crown. There was a strict dress code of black or white for the guests. At the end of the night there were fireworks.
  • Brad Pitt-Jeniffer Aniston: The who's who of Hollywood attended the wedding of Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston in 2000. The guest list included Cameron Diaz, Salma Hayek to name a few. Aniston wore a Lawrence Steele white gown. Reports suggest that around 50,000 flowers were used to create a garden. (Sadly the couple divorced in 2005)
  • Donald Trump: The real estate mogul married model Melania Knauss in January 2005. Melania wore a strapless Christian Dior gown made from 300 feet of satin which had 1,500 crystals, and had a 13-foot train weighing an estimated 50 pounds. The reception was attended by Rudy Giuliani, Barbara Walters and Regis Philbin to name a a few.
  • Madonna-Guy Ritchie: Pop diva Madonna married film director Guy Ritchie in December 2000 in Scotland. The couple booked all 21 rooms of a castle for guests including Gwyneth Paltrow, Rupert Everett and others.

    Madonna wore a strapless cream silk gown by Stella McCartney and wore a diamond tiara that was worn by Princess Grace of Monaco.
  • Nicole Kidman & Keith Urban: Actress Nicole Kidman tied the knot with country star Keith Urban in June 2006 in Sydney at the Cardinal Cerretti Chapel, which was decorated with hundreds of candles and red flowers. Nicole wore a Nicolas Ghesquiere for Balenciaga gown and veil and carried a white rose bouquet. The who's who of Hollywood was present at the wedding including Naomi Watts, Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman and billionaire Rupert Murdoch.
  • Pierce Brosnan: Former James Bond Pierce Brosnan wed a TV journalist Keely Shaye Smith in 2001. Guests were treated to a six-tier carrot wedding cake.
  • Eddie Murphy: Eddie Murphy wed model Nicole Mitchell in 1993 at New York's Plaza Hotel. The guest list included Bruce Willis, Demi Moore and Prince. The Plaza's Grand Ballroom was decorated with with flowers for the ceremony. Nicole wore an off-shoulder white gown which had a 12-foot-long train.
  • Tom-Katie: Hollywood hunk Tom Cruise married fellow actress Katie Holmes in 2006 in Italy. Guests included Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, Jennifer Lopez and David and Victoria Beckham. Holmes wore an ivory silk gown personally designed by Giorgio Armani.
  • Elizabeth Hurley: Elizabeth Hurley wed Indian businessman Arun Nayar in 2007 in a lavish ceremony with celebrations being held over a span of eight days. Singer friend Elton John and designer Valentino attended her church wedding where she wore a traditional Versace gown. A second, traditional Hindu ceremony was held in Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur.
  • Isha Koppikar: Isha Koppikar married restaurateur Timmy Narang at a small ceremony in ISKON temple. The celebrations continued later as the two hosted a reception party for family and friends. Isha wore a pink lehenga which was designed by none other than Neeta Lulla.
  • Raveena Tandon: Amidst the grandeur of Udaipur's Shiv Niwas Palace, Raveena Tandon's marriage to distributor Anil Thadani was the stuff of fairy tales.
  • Ambika Hinduja: Ambika Hinduja and Raman Macker tied the knot at the Turf Club in Mumbai. Ambika was dressed in a pretty white saree by Abu-Sandeep with matching diamond-studded jewellery, while Raman looked dapper in a black designer sherwani with white embroidery. The guest list included Vilasrao Deshmukh with Riteish, Praful Patel with family, Gautam and Nawaz Singhania, Yash and Avanti Birla, Mahesh and Haseena Jethmalani, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Adi Godrej, Maureen Wadia, Amar Singh, and Govinda among many others.
  • Karisma Kapoor: Karisma Kapoor's marriage was the most talked about marriages of Bollywood. Karisma looked pretty dressed in a pink Manish Malhotra lehenga.
  • Kajol and Ajay Devgn: Kajol and Ajay Devgn's marriage was very simple and was attended by few close friends and relatives. The wedding ceremony was held at Ajay's residence Varsha, in Juhu. Mehndi ceremony was also held at Kajol's apartment in Bombay a day before the wedding.
