'Lindsay could be dead in a year'
Lindsay Lohan's dad Michael says his daughter is at an all-time low and that she could be "dead in a year".
-
"She needs long-term rehab. I fear the worst. Look at Elvis, Anna Nicole Smith, Heath Ledger - who was a close friend of hers. It could be a year, a month, a week - who knows? She has a plethora of medicine you can't mix and can't drink with," Michael told Grazia magazine.

Thesun.co.uk reports that Lindsay has denied her dad Michael's allegations of prescription drug abuse. "I'm so hurt that someone who calls himself my father needs to use the press to communicate with me. I have not spoken to my father, nor have I responded to his threatening and erratic messages over the last several months. He should instead try to be a real father," she said.

Lindsay and her dad have been at war for months, with Michael taking frequent pops at Lindsay's on-off girlfriend Samantha Ronson and the actress angrily hitting back at her father's "excessive lies" about the prescription drug addiction he claims she's the victim of.

Lindsay has a history of drug and alcohol abuse. In 2006, she attended Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. On January 18, 2007, Lohan checked herself in to the Wonderland Center rehabilitation facility. Through her representative, she issued a statement saying, "I have made a proactive decision to take care of my personal health". Lohan checked out on February 16, 2007 after completing a 30-day stay.

On July 24, 2007, Lindsay failed a field sobriety test in Santa Monica and was taken to a police station where her blood alcohol level was found to be above the legal limit. While conducting a search, the police found a small amount of cocaine in her pocket.
-
On August 23, 2007, Lindsay pleaded guilty to cocaine use and driving under the influence and was sentenced to one day in jail and 10 days community service. She was also ordered to pay fines and complete an alcohol education program, and was placed on three years probation. "It is clear to me that my life has become completely unmanageable because I am addicted to alcohol and drugs," she said in a statement.
