Look of the day: Hit or Miss?

Here's the look that made it to the fashionista voting list. Vote for yourself!

  • Preity Zinta may be swooning in Salman's arms in the first episode of Up, Close & Personal With PZ, but with that Oscar De La Renta Dress dress, we think it should have been the other way around!
Not to miss are the Michael Kors wedges she has on. Alas, the combination, isn't as hot.
    What do you think?

  • Kalki Koechlin, the rising fashionista, decided to stick with the yellow boots angle at the screening of That Girl in the Yellow Boots.
Sporting an otherwise grunge look, Kalki set the tone for the evening with a cropped jacket.

  • For the launch of her sensational The Dirty Picture trailer, Vidya decided to wear this spotted French Connection top.
Though it's a refreshing change from her draped saree look, we don't dig it.

  • Prachi Desai goes back to her cute girl-next-door-look. With this plain-Jane navy tee tucked in and a Gucci on her arm, she nails the understated fashionista look.

  • Esha Deol may be sporting a svelte figure in this Neeta Lulla creation, but we think she makes quite the ideal Bollywood counterpart of the vampish Morticia Addams, matriarch of The Addams Family. What do you think?

  • Shotgun Jr dressed like the average Jane Doe in her figure hugging light blue denims and Hard Rock tee and yet managed to make a statement.
Her simplicity was delightful, as she headed to Mehboob studio.

  • We caught Neha Dhupia out and about, networking to promote her film Gandhi to Hitler. She beat the sultry weather in a floral Alice+Olivia dress.
Though we loved the floral Alice+Olivia dress, teaming it with a black blazer was a bit of an overkill. Pairing with light accessories would have worked the look better - her watch was too black and chunky for the season too.
    What do you think?

  • In a James Ferreira draped dress, Simone Singh looked a bit out of sorts.
Though a gorgeous design and colour, we didn't think it suited Simone's fuller figure, especially for the Vogue Awards. Do you agree?

  • Deepika Padukone turned the heat up a notch in this muted pink sheath dress.
A far cry from the style of the character she dons for her upcoming film Aarakshan, she makes the quintessential fashion statement at a promotional event. What say?

  • Anushka Sharma was ready to paint the town red with her glammed up avatar to unveil her Maxim cover. Sporting a clean-cut flared lace jumpsuit, with a perfectly matched corset bodice, Anushka's cherry red lipstick was the proverbial cherry on the cake!
    What do you think?

  • Back To The Future
Sonam dug into her closet to pick another Grecian gown years after her first Filmfare appeareance. This time she wore an Ungaro draped, one-shoulder dress- finishing her look off with some metallic flats and a glittery headband. She's gorgeous!
  • It was a free and easy look for Jacqueline Fernandez, at stuffy press meet. A mismatch look between sweatshirt, jeans; solids and prints, the actress carries it off with flair. Especially with the Chloe Sally bag in the summer's hottest colour – Coral!

  • Neha Dhupia looked out of sorts and under the weather. We like the geometric print one-shouldered dress by Abhishek Dutta, but the actress needs to do a Massive make up check. Stretching the grey theme a bit too far, eh?

  • Barbie No More
We here are jumping with joy- Katrina is back. There is nothing pink about this fashionista here, we love the casual flats and the two toned look. Stick to it, but not for too long again Kat.
  • Doll Face
Anushka Sharma looked like the cutie she is in black skinny jeans and the classic tiny white tee, with a slip underneath. Cute-O-meter gives her a perfect 10!
  • In Black and White
Sush ruined the beautiful draped dress with the blinding gold high heels- the love is gone!
  • Ol' Hollywood
Kangana makes the red, bee-stung lips her trademark look with hair firmly in place with a side wave. The pale pink, embellished one-shoulder Rajat Tangri gown turned quite a few heads.
  • Biker Chic Alert
Anushka goes from Barbie pink to tough-nut biker babe in one outfit. The skinny jeans make her look way too thin for anyone's happiness, but we love the overall look. 10 points to the Fendi colourcoded bag.
  • Too Haughty
Kangana tries to act cooler than her outfit with her exhausted look and unkempt hair. The haughty pout does nothing for us- perhaps if she had worn the jacket with something else...
  • Serious fashionista Sonam Kapoor oozed sophistication in a Diane von Furstenberg dress, pairing it with nude peep-toes. The camel coloured Fendi Peek-A-Boo bag was spot on. What's your take?

  • Kiran Rao's is all about erudite style and it was on display once again at husband Aamir Khan's celebration to mark 10 years of his production house. Kiran opted for a dress from the Fall 2010 Cue collection by Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna. Glittery pumps and a silver cuff completed her look.

  • Mallika Sherawat was wearing a one-shoulder tiered dress with a pair of strappy sandals, while promoting her Double Dhmaal item number Jalebi Bai.
Though it was a pleasant change from the skimpy numbers she usually wears, do you think Mallika can carry off the somewhat sophisticated look?
  • Malaika Arora-Khan displays good taste in attire once again in a floral print dress, perfectly fitted, spelling s-u-m-m-e-r. Teamed with brown pumps and pastel nailpolish, this Khan is all about beating the heat.
  • It was Elie Saab all the way for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan – from the peach dress to the loose jacket.
Though Ash looked pretty in peach, at the 163 Prix de Diane Longines in Chantilly (France), we are wondering why Ash went for loose-fit over form-fit.

  • Sonam Kapoor was wearing a Sabah Khan dress in yellow as she unveiled her latest magazine cover.
As cute as the summery, fun dress was, let's take a second look at Bollywood's fashionista actor. Was teaming the dress with a black shoulder bag and pumps the best idea?

  • Amid rumours of an engagement to Sheikh Hassan bin Rashid Al Khalifa, ravishing Sri Lankan beauty Jacqueline Fernandez is seen at an event in skinny distressed jeans teamed with an embellished white Dolce&Gabbana top. A Chanel bag and grey and black soled pumps complete the look.

  • Befitting A Royal
Kate, now the Duchess of Cambridge, walked next to Prince William in a floor-length blush organza Jenny Packham, with strategically placed embellishments. She looked royal alright!
  • A Pop Of Colour
Shazahn Padamsee gives a wink to her flirty side in a black and white dress, with a dash of red on her feet.
  • Saucy Stunner
Malaika Arora Khan stopped all traffic in a two-toned fashion hit. We love the bow-embellished shoes and the simple, loose black mane. Malaika never gets it wrong!
  • Pixie Hollow
Kalki Koechlin mixes comfort with style in tan shorts, with her black Tee tucked in. The fedora and the black ballerinas finished her chic look!
  • Baubles!
Sonam went all out on the bling in this all black Atsu Sekhose gown and red-hot lips. We love the defined waist and the restrained elegance. Another stunner!!
  • A la Desi Girl
PC looked radiant in a blush, embellished Manish Malhotra creation. We think the glow was all for star-crush SRK but she could have chosen a better colour- enough with the pink shades already!
  • Once A Miss
Sakshi Dhoni stood next to cricketer-husband M S Dhoni as he was felicitated at a function in Ranchi. She was seen in a dark green Masaba creation.
  • Sakshi Dhoni wore a pink sheer saree, set off with a blue lining and a white halter blouse - a Masaba creation at the recently held BCCI awards.

Mrs Dhoni opted for a chunky pendant as an accessory . We expected more from Sakshi, She could have done something different with her hair atleast.

  • Avantika Malik likes her monochrome numbers and this once she pulls off the short black jumpsuit with sweet girly charm. The sling bag matches with the hair colour and the shoes make her stand tall. We'd like more blush on those chubby cheeks though! What do you think?

  • We always like what Kiran wears- this time she bowls us over with a happy blue dress. It's simple and the smile brightens it up even more. We love the bracelet.
Note To Kiran: Lose the shoes!

  • Natural State
Bebo looks best when she has no paint on- with a peaches and cream complexion like that, she can carry off anything! Her look here reminds us of Omkara, we are losing our heart to her.
  • Preeti Desai channeled her feminine charm in a beige French Connection dress which set off her tan perfectly. We love the matching pumps too- this look is a sure 9!

  • Comfort Zone

Katrina's sweet Barbie looks are starting to give us diabetes. We're not excited to see her in another form-fitting red dress, with the same old shoes.
Her smiling doll-face is framed by loose black curls- nothing new here!

  • Not Ready

Asin forgot to look at her reflection in the mirror before she left home for a promotional event for new movie Ready. She couldn't decide between two outfits, so wore both!

  • Beat The Heat

Jacqueline Fernandes went floral sweet in a colourful sun-dress. Her loose curls framed her face beautifully, and the shades were just the perfect accessory. We are not feeling the pink platforms though!

  • Red Riding Hood

Sonal Chauhan worked her lovely curves in this form fitting bandage dress and wore a low pony to the side. We are loving the radiant smile and the skinny legs. You go girl!

  • Celina Jaitley ruined a perfectly good black and white polka-dotted dress with formal patent leather pointed high heels and a mismatched belt. Should have stuck to the cute look Celina! And what's with the pockets hanging from the sides?

  • Barbie
Seems like Katrina is taking her Barbie status a tad too seriously. Sporting a Monisha Jaising delicate white number, the ringlets are a bit passé. What say?

  • A Pouty Secretary
Neha Dhupia teams the formal tapered skirt and shirt with a naughty pout.

  • O Rosie!
Riya Sen looked like the doll she is in this dusty rose coloured silk off-shoulder stunner. We love the light blush and the simple hair-do, but are glad that the shoes are hidden.

  • Celina opted for a brown flared mini accessorized by tan shoes and matching pumps. We like the look, but would have appreciated originality better. *Cough* Angelina! *cough*.

  • Coral Delight

Deepika was fresh as the spring breeze in this coral dress, perfect for an afternoon out with her co-star Saif Ali Khan. Good that she chose chappals over heels, or we all know how she would have towered over Bebo's main man.

  • So Fly

Petite lass Amrita Rao dons the forever-stylish black jacket, over a bold statement-tee and expertly pairs it up with light-green skinny pants. We wish she'd lose the shoes, which make fresh horrors of her last appearance.

  • Sonam likes to travel with an oversized Birkin and comfy flats. The aviator shades add extra zing.

  • Poonam Pandey brings out her wild side in a leopard print bikini top and a black mini-skirt.

  • Urmila stepped out in a pink anarkali with a huge border and of course her beautiful smile.

  • Keeping it simple, Deepika Padukone looks fresh in a beige and white dress at a recent event. She accessorised with a tiny hoops. The tattoo on her ankle added zing!

  • Every girl must have the perfect black dress, but probably not the one Amrita Rao wore for the screening of Love U... Mr Kalakaar. What's your take?

  • Sonakshi unveiled the Filmfare issue in a one shouldered Gaurav Gupta dress which she teamed with black peep toes.

  • Dia stuck to her staple style with a simple black Bebe dress whcih she paired with glittery sky high pumps.

  • Yana Gupta was smoking hot in a LBD with gladiator shoes. The earrings were the only jewellery.

  • Leaving On A Jet Plane

Minissha Lamba could gives us a few tips in runway fashion, though she does seem to be sacrificing comfort in those booties. Ah well, she did get a book along!

  • While They Were Away

Ranbir made the most of the empty house as mommy-daddy shone at the 11th Annual New York Indian Film Festival. But the real perk was Rishi's: Wifey Neetu stood gracefully next to him in a white Abu-Sandeep salwar-suit and emerald drop earrings.

  • Summer Splash

En-route to Kolkata, Gauri Khan looked cheer-ready to support KKR with husband SRK and daughter Suhana, dressed casually in a grey maxi-dress and matching chappals.

  • Night Falls

Amrita Arora ditched the high waisted pants and the short shorts for a knee length dress, with a geisha twist to it at the success party of Shor In The City.

  • Not Without My Shoes

Yana Gupta was in full bloom in a see-through dress with a slip underneath, but couldn't get rid of her trademark strap-on sandals. Time to go shopping.

  • Second Time Lucky

Aanchal Kumar cleaned up nice with her much-worn Stella-inspired Mango dress, and accessorised with a red bag and sleek hair.

  • Rang Rasiya

Nandana Sen sizzled in the whole 9-yards tied the traditional way at the Tagore Literature Awards 2010, looking every bit her curvy self.

  • Barbie Land

Katrina played the part she's best at- movie star Barbie in a hot-pink, beauty-queen worthy Gauri-Nainika gown, accessorised by minimal jewellery.

  • Recurring Theme

In another event, Yana yet again chose this patterned girl-next-door number over her thigh-baring minis. The shoes, of course, are still there.

  • Traffic Stopper

Former Miss Great Britain Preeti Desai was beating the competition again in a red gown and a sophisticated sleek clutch.

  • Candy Froth

Shotgun Junior overwhelmed us all in this flowing pink anarkali, which made her look bigger than she is.
