Malayalam film Husbands in Goa

Husbands in Goa is a new Malayalam romantic comedy written and directed by Saji Surendran.

Ivar Vivahitharayal, the 2009 comedy drama, was Saji Surendran's directorial debut. He has been a television serial director.

The film marks the entry of UTV Motion Pictures into Malayalam cinema.

The movie has been produced by Ronnie Screwvala.

The film has Lal playing the role of a harsh husband, who is all set to divorce his wife . The other three husbands are impressed by him and try to emulate Lal.

M. G. Sreekumar has composed the film's music and Shibu Chakraborthy and Vayalar Saratchandra Varma have penned the lyrics.

The film is about the journey of three young men who are fed up with their wives and decide to flee for a vacation to Goa.The film is all about their time in Goa and the chain of events that occurs when their wives also land up in Goa.

Husbands in Goa has got a big star cast that includes Jaya Surya, Bhama, Remya Nambisan, Asif Ali, Lal, Praveena, Rima Kallingal, Indrajeet.

Jayasuriya will be playing the role of a chartered accountant. It is interesting to note that Jayasuriya was the main lead in Saji's directorial debut Ivar Vivahitharaayal, which was a mega hit.

Reema Kallingal plays the role of a nagging wife in Husbands in Goa.

Praveena, who is also a Malayalam television actress, will be playing an important role in the film.

Bhama, Rima Kallingal, Remya Nambeesan are the nagging housewives.

Indrajit plays the role of a family lawyer while Asif Ali is an interior designer in the movie.

According to reports, Biju Menon was the first choice to play the role being essayed by Lal, but couldn't because of date issues.

There are a lot of expectations from Husbands in Goa as Saji Surendran's other two films, Four Friends and Kunjaliyan, bombed at the box office.
