Apart from Manisha Koirala, Bhoot Returns stars Satya actor J D Chakravarthy. The Telugu actor has also appeared in Ram Gopal Varma's Vaastu Shastra and RGV ki Aag.
The film also stars Telugu actress Madhu Shalini playing an important role. She made her Bollywood debut in Ram Gopal Varma's Department. Child star Alayana Sharma plays a central role in the movie.
Ram Gopal Varma wanted the title Bhoot 2 for the movie but since it was registered with producer Nitin Manmohan's company and they refused to part with it, he went ahead and named the movie Bhoot Returns.
