The music of ace cinematographer Santosh Sivan's much awaited Urumi was released in Chennai on today (November 15, 2011).

This magnum opus with Prithviraj, Genelia, Vidya Balan, Tabu and Prabhu Deva in the lead roles is expected to grace theatres by November end! The Malayalam and Telugu versions of the film have already seen the light of day.

The film is based on the assassination of Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama who arrived in Kerala in 1498. Prithviraj plays the gang leader of the group that wanted to kill Vasco da Gama.

Urumi is being made in Malayalam, Tamil and English and has been shot in the beautiful locales of Kerala and Maharashtra.

Prithviraj has produced the movie along with director Santosh Sivan and Shaji Natesan.
