Namitha’s too sexy for a sari

South Indian actress Namitha Kapoor’s popularity can be assessed from the fact that she is the second actress after Khushboo in whose honour a temple is being built in Tamil Nadu's Tirunelveli.

With her sizzling look, voluptuous body and acting prowess, she has made a mark for herself in Kollywood.

Though she entered the glamour world as a model, she took to the silver screen by storm and wrote her own success story. Till now, she has starred in more than three dozen films and her sex appeal has made Namitha a heartthrob for millions of fans in Kollywood.

Her latest hit was Jagan Mohini which received an overwhelming response from cine goers and the actress thanked everyone who supported her.

In the film, she plays the character of a girl who collects pearls and, while doing so, she falls in love with a prince.

The twist in the interesting plot of the film Jagan Mohini was when she was killed because of being unacceptable to the prince’s family and she became a ghost to stop the prince’s marriage to any princess.

But it’s not the first film which has received such a warm response from her fans. In fact, in the past, Tamil films like Engal Anna and Arjuna Arjuna went on to become major hits.

When Namitha came to know that her fans are building a temple for her, she said that she was thrilled as well as scared because building a temple in honour of a living person is something that one finds a little difficult to come to terms with.

Namitha’s sex appeal always attracts her fans and many times her film’s success was contributed to her image of a sex siren.

Not just that, according to reports, when she was asked if she liked to wear traditional Indian dresses like saris, she said, “I don't like to wear saris. If I wear a sari, my male fans’ minds will be polluted due to my extraordinary sexy look. In fact, I'm saving my male fans from abusive and vulgar thinking by not wearing saris.”
