Nargis Fakhri Rocks at 34

Life's looking up for Pakistani model and actress Nargis Fakhri who first shot to fame through the movie Rockstar in 2011. She received rave reviews for her performance in Madras Cafe. Next up for release will be David Dhawan's yet untitled film which will release in 2014. On the personal front, rumours of a romance with Yash Raj Films scion Uday Chopra are doing the rounds.

Nargis Fakhri was born on October 20, 1979 in Queens, New York to a Pakistani father and a Czech mother Marie A Fakhri. Her parents were divorced when she was just six years old.

She also has a sister Aliya Fakhri.

Nargis made her debut in Bollywood with Imtiaz Ali's Rockstar in which she starred opposite Ranbir Kapoor. The film was a hit, thanks to Ranbir. Nargis' performance received mixed reviews and her lack of expression was cited as her biggest criticism.

She was next seen in Madras Cafe (2013) with John Abraham. Though the film did only average business at the box office, Nargis received widespread acclaim for her performance as a war correspondent.

This year she also appeared in the item number Dhating Naach in the film Phata Poster Nikla Hero.

Nargis is currently busy shooting for Main Tera Hero which also co-stars Varun Dhawan and Ileana D'Cruz. The movie will hit the screens in 2014.

Besides films, Nargis has also featured on various magazine covers including Filmfare, Elle, Maxim and Harper's Bazaar.

She is also a successful model and is often spotted at various ramp shows.

On the personal front, Nargis is said to be in a serious relationship with actor-turned-producer Uday Chopra.
