Padma honours for Rajesh Khanna, Sharmila Tagore, Sridevi
Rajesh Khanna, Padma Bhushan: The list of civilian honours for this year has been announced and features Rajesh Khanna, star of ‘70s movies like Anand, Amar Prem, Aradhana and Namak Haram. Mr Khanna, who died on July 18, 2012, will receive the Padma Bhushan, India's third highest civilian award.

Sharmila Tagore, Padma Bhushan: Rajesh Khanna's co-star in films Aradhana and Amar Prem, Ms Tagore will also receive the Padma Bhushan. Ms Tagore, who served as chief of the Censor Board till 2011, appeared in many of the biggest hits of the ‘70s including Kashmir Ki Kali and An Evening In Paris.

Sridevi, Padma Shri: Sridevi, who made her comeback on the silver screen last year with English Vinglish, will receive the Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian award. Sridevi was one of the top actresses of the ‘80s and starred in super hit movies like Himmatwala, Chandni and Chaalbaaz.
