Poonam Pandey's first film shoot

Here's model turned actress Poonam Pandey giving the first shot for her debut film Nasha.

The shoot was for a bedroom scene and candles were lit to give the ambience a sensual touch. Poonam tweeted, “Gave first movie shot of my career for the film Nasha and true to my promise, started first scene in bed.”

Poonam Pandey first grabbed the limelight in 2011, when she vowed to shed her clothes if Indian cricket team won the World Cup.

Nasha is directed by Amit Saxena, who had directed the 2003 film Jism.

Poonam Pandey, who is usually in the news for taking her clothes off, has taken us by surprise by draping herself in six yards of fabric. While it's only natural that she wear a sari for the Ganpati festival, it's a tiny bit unnerving to see so unfamiliar a version of the model-turned-starlet.

Poonam, queen of posting attention seeking (and getting) tweets, had invited the wrath of mandal authorities for turning up in shorts last year, and has done a volte-face this time around in her white and purple sari. It's still somewhat more revealing than what the average woman would wear to an auspicious occasion, but we'll give Poonam points for trying.
