The story revolves around Kunal Kadam (Kunal Khemu) who shifts to Cape Town from India with his wife, Arzoo (Amrita Puri) and gets a job in a diamond export firm run by two brothers.
Mahesh Bhatt wanted to shoot the film in Antwerp, Belgium but the Indian community there, who were largely employed in the diamond industry, opposed it. Thus, the location was shifted to Cape Town in South Africa.
