Prince Harry: The lady in question

The Wild Child is romancing a swimwear model- here's her Bollywood connect

  • Pippa is passe - the Royal rebel now has a new love interest. Prince Harry is playing Prince Charming to lingerie model Florence Brudenell-Bruce these days, if reports are to be believed. The 26-year-old Royal is said to have been enjoying 'secret trysts' with the beauty over the past few months.
Florence Brudenell-Bruce has an India connection as well. She played an important part in Bollywood flick Love Aaj Kal, playing Saif Ali Khan's English girlfriend, caught in a love triangle between him and Deepika Padukone.

"She is a lot of fun, blonde and very good-looking. Harry really likes her, " a source claims.
  • Amid rumours of a rift between Pippa Middleton and longtime boyfriend Alex Loudon, Prince Harry and Kate Middleton's equally hot li'l sister hit it off royal style. Harry fell prey to the Bride Of Honor's now-famous wedding look, prompting him to end his best man's speech with "Pippa, call me!".
The two had almost reached the nickname level- she calls him "Captain" and he calls her "Commando" (go figure), but things fizzled out soon, or so they seem. Looks like Pippa is back in Alex's arms and Harry has found himself a new suitor.
  • Prince Harry and the Walking With The Wounded team are preparing for their unaided expedition to the North Pole in an attempt to raise £2m for charities focusing on the retraining and rehabilitation of injured British service personnel. GQ captures him royally handsome on the May issue's cover.

  • As the Best Man to his brother Prince William, Harry dutifully threw his brother an epic stag party and went extra wild on the wedding day. They say, Harry and Catherine's sister Pippa were the life of the party and hit it off instantly.
Here's a snapshot of his very eventful life.
  • Prince Harry, a.k.a. Prince Henry of Wales, was born on Sept 15, 1984 to Prince Charles of Wales and Princess Diana. He is the grandson of Queen Elizabeth II. The prince is third in line, after elder brother Prince William, to the thrones of 16 Independent Commonwealth realms.
  • Harry's mother, the late Princess Diana, wanted him and Prince William to experience a normal life unlike other royal children in the past. The brothers enjoyed everyday pleasures and were frequently taken to Disney World, McDonald's, AIDS clinics and the likes.
  • The Princess was a controversial public figure who is remembered as much for her looks and humanitarian work as for her affair with Dodi Al-Fayed. The divorce of Harry's parents was closely followed by the media and gossip mongers would not leave the family alone until Princess Diana's tragic death in a car accident in 1997. The legacy of the Princess carries on and many books and articles have been written about her life.
  • The Queen broke precedent to give Diana a royal funeral. Thousands turned out to bid goodbye to the People's Princess as she was fondly called. At the funeral, Harry was seen walking alongside his father, brother, paternal grandfather, and maternal uncle behind the funeral cortège from Kensington Palace to Westminster Abbey.
  • It was a sign of the changing times that the royal family decided to send Harry to Eton College for his graduation. The Prince completed his education there and developed a love for sports.
  • Despite minor departures from royal tradition, Harry has followed in his father's footsteps. Like Charles, he took a year off to work at a cattle station and then with orphaned children. He also produced a documentary The Forgotten Kingdom.
  • Harry entered the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst as Officer Cadet Wales and subsequently rose to the rank of Lieutenant.

On his 18th birthday, his grandmother, Elizabeth II, granted Prince Harry his own personalised coat of arms, consisting of the escutcheon of the arms of the sovereign in right of the United Kingdom with a label for difference.
  • Harry saw active military duty in Afghanistan among other places. But the Prince was forbidden to return to the frontlines after a British tabloid disclosed his identity to the international media. The Prince was quick to express his disappointment, "There's no way I'm going to put myself through Sandhurst and then sit back home while my boys are out fighting for their country," he said.
  • In May 2007, British soldiers expressed their loyalty to the Prince by wearing t-shirts that read "I'm Harry!"; a reference to the movie Spartacus in which the survivors of Spartacus' army, defeated by Roman legions, are offered leniency by Crassus if they will identify their leader. Every survivor declares: "I'm Spartacus!"
  • In his youth Harry had earned the reputation of a rebel, and was often labeled by the tabloids as the 'wild child' of the Royal family. At the age of 17, Harry was caught smoking Cannabis and this caused him to come under public scrutiny.
  • Under-age drinking was also a problem for Harry. The media would have a field day every time the Prince got into a drunken brawl.
  • Harry found himself embroiled in an unsavoury controversy when he was photographed at Highgrove House at a "Colonial and Native" themed costume party wearing a German Afrika Korps uniform with a swastika armband. This was offensive to many and the Prince had to issue a public statement apologising for his action.
  • But that isn't the only time when Harry has had to express regret. In 2009 a video was released showing the Prince refer to a Pakistani fellow officer cadet as "our little Paki friend," and later called a soldier wearing a cloth on his head "raghead". These terms were termed "racist" by many. In response, a Muslim organization called the Prince a "thug", a statement that was later retracted.

It was later revealed that the Prince had personally apologised to the soldier involved in the incident.
  • However on the personal front, Harry's life does not seem to be as controversial as his brother's. The most media attention has been given to his relationship with Chelsy Davy. After more than a year and half of reports of the two dating, the Prince, on his 21st birthday, confirmed that the two were indeed seeing each other.
  • Considered Britain's Most Eligible Bachelor, along with his brother, Harry rules a million hearts. While it remains to be seen if he will marry royal or like his father, find love with a commoner, he is and will remain a whiff of fresh air for the British monarchy.
