According to reports, it's a historical period drama which is based on the real life story of Abdul Rehman Sahib, a freedom fighter and Congress leader.
After Godmother, Raima was seen in Kalpana Lajmi's Daman, which had Raveena Tandon in the lead. Raima, who played the role of Raveena's daughter, was appreciated for her performance.
Her next big break came when Bengali director Rituparno Ghosh, cast her as Ashalata in Chokher Bali. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan played the lead in the movie.
