Ram Charan Teja, 28, the new Angry Young Man

Telugu star Ram Charan Teja, who is all set to make make his Bollywood debut with Zanjeer this year, turns 28 today. The film is a remake of Amitabh Bachchan's 1973 hit film of the same name and also stars Priyanka Chopra and Sanjay Dutt in important roles.

Ram Charan is the son of famous actor Chiranjeevi and Surekha. He has two sisters, Sushmita and Sreeja.

Ram Charan married his childhood sweetheart Upasana Kamineni, on June 14 , 2012. Upasana is the vice-chairman of Apollo Charity and chief editor of B Positive magazine.

Ram Charan made his acting debut as the main lead in Puri Jagannadh's Chirutha (2007). His performance in the movie earned him the Filmfare Best South Debutant Award and a Nandi Special Jury Award.

In 2009 came director S S Rajamouli's Magadheera. The movie, which was Ram Charan's second film, was a huge hit and fetched the actor the Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu and another Nandi Special Jury Award.

After delivering two hits in a row, Ram Charan's third movie Orange (2010) was a disappointment at the box office.

In 2012, Ram Charan acted in Rachcha. The film opened to full houses and was declared a hit.

This year, his first release was Naayak, directed by VV Vinayak. Ram Charan played a double role in the film, which was a huge success.

His next release, Yevadu, will release on June 14, 2013 - which also happens to be his wedding anniversary.

With films like Zanjeer and Yevadu up for release this year, 2013 certainly seems to be lucky for Ram Charan Teja. Here's wishing him success.
