Ready revolves around Salman

She is the leading lady in Ready, but actress Asin Thottumkal says she has no problems with Salman Khan hogging the limelight in the film's promotions.

"When a film stars Salman Khan, it is but natural that the script is written to accentuate his presence in the film. It is also logical to have the film revolve around him. The same has to reflect in the promos as well where his style and mannerisms are exposed to the audience," Asin.

Salman is called Prem in Ready, which sparked off rumours that the actor is set to re-create his onscreen chemistry with Madhuri Dixit from the hit movie Hum Aapke Hai Kaun. But Asin dismissed them as mere speculation.

"I don't know from where did these Madhuri-Salman talks start. In fact while I was shooting for the film, I wasn't even thinking of Madhuri or making any conscious effort to recreate it. We just went ahead and followed the script," said Asin.

After Dabangg, the film will be Salman's first release of 2011.

Directed by Anees Bazmee, Ready is a remake of the 2008 Telugu film by the same name.

The movie, starring Salman and Asin in lead roles, is slated to release on June 3.

Ready has a supporting cast of Mahesh Manjrekar, Paresh Rawal, Arya Babbar and Akhilendra Mishra with Ajay Devgan, Kangana Ranaut, Sanjay Dutt, Arbaaz Khan and Zarine Khan in cameo roles.

The song Character Dheela from the film is already a chartbuster.

The choreography of the song is by Mudassar Khan, who had choreographed Salman Khan in Dabangg.

Another popular song from the film, Dhinka Chika, is a remake of Ringa Ringa from Allu Arjun's Arya.

Salman, who clinched his first Best Actor award in 23 years for Dabangg, has said trophies don't matter to him, audience reactions do.

Ready revolves around Prem (Salman Khan), the sole heir to a sprawling empire owned by his family. Prem's father wants him to get married and settle down, though Prem intends to enjoy his bachelorhood.

Asin plays Sallu's love interest.

Reports suggest that Salman has been involved in every aspect of the film, from scouting locations to reworking songs.

According to reports, the film was originally to be shot in Mauritius, but was moved to Sri Lanka on Salman's request.

Sources say that Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt and Kangna Ranaut will be seen as guest appearances, as they were also in Bangkok shooting for David Dhawan's film, Rascals.

Veer co-star Zarine Khan made her cameo in the hilarious number Character Dheela.

The music of the film is composed by Pritam.

Salman has gone on record to say that Character Dheela and Dhinka Chika will take on the likes of Munni and Sheila.

Guess we'll just have to wait and see what the film has in store.
