Rehab and jail for Lindsay, and she's only 26

On June 15, the actress was found unconscious in an LA hotel room. She was said to be suffering from exhaustion, but was not taken to hospital, according to a spokesperson. Lindsay partied until the early hours just one day after being treated for exhaustion.

Lindsay has been in an out of drug trouble. She was released from jail on August 2, 2010 after serving 13 days of a 90 day sentence she was handed when a judge ruled she had violated her probation in a 2007 drug case by failing to attend alcohol education classes. Lindsay was kept in a sequestered unit of the woman's prison which has housed other celebrities like Paris Hilton and Michelle Rodriguez.

Lindsay then bagged the role of Alexandra Alli Fowler on Another World. She gave up the series for the big screen when director Nancy Meyers cast her in the double role of estranged twins who try to reunite their long-divorced parents, played by Dennis Quaid and Natasha Richardson in the 1998 remake of The Parent Trap.

In 2007, Lindsay went in for an appendix surgery due to which her movie I Know Who Killed Me was put on hold. Later in the month she entered a drug rehabilitation center but continued shooting for the film. She had to then later withdraw from a a film adaptation of Oscar Wilde's A Woman of No Importance. According to her publicist, Lindsay needed time to focus on getting better.

In the same year, 2007, Lindsay checked herself in to the Wonderland Center rehabilitation facility. She issued a statement saying, "I have made a proactive decision to take care of my personal health". After a few months, she lost control of her car and ran the vehicle up a curb. Beverly Hills police also found a "usable" amount of cocaine in her car. Lindsay was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. Two days later, Lindsay checked into Promises Treatment Centers rehabilitation facility, where she stayed for 45 days. She was again booked for possession of cocaine and misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license. In August 2007, Lindsay entered Cirque Lodge Treatment Center in Sundance, Utah for a third stint at rehabilitation, staying until discharge on October 5, 2007.
