Releases to watch out for in 2012

Year 2011 also belonged to the Rajinikanth of Bollywood, Salman Khan, who gave us super hits like Bodyguard and Ready, then Vidya's The Dirty Picture and for SRK fans it was RA.One and Don 2. Take a look at what's on our plate in 2012.

  • While 2011 belonged to one Khan and a Balan, slick action kick-starts the year for movie-buffs in 2012. Other notable releases in January include Agneepath – the remake of the Amitabh Bachchan classic with Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra in the lead.
  • After Players starring Abhishek Bachchan, Bipasha Basu and Sonam Kapoor, its Karan Johar's much awaited Hrithik Roshan starrer Agneepath which releases on January 26.
  • Imran Khan pairs up with Kareena Kapoor for the first time in this rom-com Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, which is reportedly based on What Happened in Las Vegas but the makers have denied it. the film releases on February 17.
  • Next in February will be another love story starring rumoured couple Prateik and Amy Jackson, which releases on February 17. The film has music by Oscar winning music director AR Rahman.
  • Bipasha Basu will be seen romancing southern star Madhavan in rom-com Jodi Breakers, which is going to hit the screens on February 24.
  • Soon-to-wed Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza will be seen in Tere Naal Ho Gaya. The film releases on February 26.
  • Amitabh Bachchan is back with Ram Gopal Varma in Department. The Big B reportedly plays a criminal-turned-politician and his look reminds you of his Sarkar days. The film, which also has southern star Rana Daggubati in a major role, is slated to release in February.
  • After wooing everyone with her Ooh La la moves as Silk Smitha in The Dirty Picture, Vidya Balan will be back as a seven months pregnant woman in Sujoy Ghosh's Kahaani. The film is slated to release on March 9.
  • Real life couple Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor will be seen in a thriller Agent Vinod. The film is likely to release in March.
  • Akshay Kumar is back in 2012 with a new flick Rowdy Rathore directed by ace choreographer Prabhu Deva. This is the film's second poster which also features Sonakshi Sinha. It was posted on Twitter. The film releases in June thi year.
  • The 80's style poster, made to look like an oil painting, looks phenomenal.

    The film, produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, is an action-comedy in the same vein as Prabhudeva's Salman Khan starrer, Wanted.
