Apart from its wonder script, Vijay's acting adds to the positive aspects of the movie.

Srikanth and Jeeva provide him enough support too.

While Manoj Paramahamsa's cinematography makes the movie a colourful collage, Harris Jayaraj's music, especially background score, is not as good as expected.

Apart from a very few setbacks, Nanban on the whole is an enjoyable experience. Filled with fun, joy and romance, the film adds more colour to the Pongal mood.

Ex-collegemates Venkatramakrishnan (Srikanth) and Sevalkodi Senthil get an update about the whereabouts of their close friend Panchavan Parivendan aka Pari (Vijay), who had gone missing. As they start their journey in search of Pari, they remember their days spent in the college together.

While the whole college had no other option but to follow the words of their dean Virumandi Santhanam (Sathyaraj), Pari followed his own path.

Pari pursues studies as an opportunity to learn new things and explore new ideas. His friends start to follow him. This irks Virumandi, though his daughter Riya (Ileana D'Cruz) falls for Pari.

As the days go by, Pari wins the hearts of everyone, including that of Virumandi. But he vanishes all of a sudden as soon as the college gets over.

Director Shankar, who is known for his grand movies such as Sivaji and Enthiran, touches the heart with Nanban.

The movie will surely be a pleasant experience for the fans of Vijay.
