Bharathi (Genelia D-Souza), a television journalist, conducts sting operations against the corrupt. For this she earns the wrath of those in power and some of her colleagues get killed.
Far away in a village called Pavunoor, liveS a milkman Velayudham (Vijay), who leads a happy life with his sister Kaveri (Saranya Mohan) and cousin Vaidehi (Hansika Motwani).
A series of events ensure that Bharathi meets Velayudham and urges him to give life to the imaginary character she created. From here starts a roller coaster ride.
