The new wax figure of the Dabangg actor, which will be a part of the museum's Bollywood Zone, was unveiled yesterday in New York.

"Salman Khan is one of Bollywood's most enduring and recognizable stars," said Bret Pidgeon, General Manager of Madame Tussaud's, New York.

Much to the disappointment of the media in New York, Salman himself could not make it to the event. The actor is busy promoting his upcoming movie Ek Tha Tiger back home.

The new wax statue of Salman Khan is an exact replica of his wax replica at Madame Tussaud's, London, which was revealed in 2008.
