Megastars Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt visited his good friend, Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi. Singh is currently under arrest for his role in the cash-for-votes scandal.

Actor Sanjay Dutt visits tainted politician Amar Singh in New Delhi's All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).

The Rajya Sabha MP, who is under arrest for his involvement in the cash-for-votes scandal, is close to the Munnabhai actor and has been his mentor in politics.

Amar Singh on September 6 became the latest high-profile politician to be sent to the Tihar Jail after he, along with two former Bharatiya Janata Party MPs, was arrested for alleged involvement in the attempt to bribe MPs ahead of a trust vote in Parliament in 2008.
Due to his high profile and the intense media coverage of the case, Amar Singh has been admitted in the Private Ward at AIIMS.
Last week, Amar Singh's close confidante, actress and MP Jaya Prada expressed anger against both politicians and celebrities for not showing sympathy towards Amar Singh.

Amitabh Bachchan and his daughter, Shweta Nanda, enter New Delhi's All India Institute of Medical Sciences, where they met ailing Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh.

Singh was rushed to hospital after his creatinine levels rose drastically. The Rajya Sabha MP underwent a kidney transplant last year, due to which he has applied for bail on medical grounds.
