Shilpa, Raj to get engaged

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty is going to be all taken and officially engaged to her London-based beau Raj Kundra, who she has been dating ever since she stepped out of the Big Brother's house.

The couple was first seen publicly at the London launch of her perfume, S2, in June 2007. They were together again at the IIFA awards that year held in Leeds. Then, as the months went by, they seemed inseparable.

Shilpa had in one of her interviews to a British Daily confirmed that she and Raj were an item, her first romance since she arrived on British television screens.

The tall actress was also called a marriage wrecker by Raj's ex-wife but the actress had made it clear that she only started a relationship with her fiance after he got divorced. "I'm no home wrecker. I made it clear to him that our relationship could go no further than friendship until he actually had his divorce," Shetty telling Hello magazine in an interview.

Raj Kundra, a London-born billionaire businessman, was separated when he met Shetty, but his estranged wife publicly blamed the actress for the break-up of the marriage.

Earlier this year, Shilpa along with Raj had bought a home in Weybridge in Surrey, southeast of London, and is excited about getting married and having kids and bringing them up in the new house.

In February 2009 Shilpa and her business partner Raj became part owners of the Indian Premier League franchise cricket team Rajasthan Royals by paying approximately $15.4 million for a 11.7% stake.

The couple will be exchanging rings on Saturday as it is a very auspicious day according to the Hindu calendar.
