Shilpa made her dream debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in Baazigar in 1993. In almost no time, she became a favourite with directors and audiences alike for her charm and bubbly persona.

Shilpa shot to international fame with her calm and composed reaction to racist remarks by her late co-contestant Jade Goody on Celebrity Big Brother. Having won the show, she was now receiving marriage proposals from the best, and it was only a matter of time before she settled down with Raj.

Shilpa Shetty, star of films like Dhadkan, Rishtey and Main Khiladi Tu Anari, witnessed a downhill when she tied the knot with then London-based entrepreneur Raj Kundra in 2009. Shilpa and Raj are parents to six-year-old Viaan.

However, Shilpa is the more successful of the two sisters - she's elder to actress Shamita Shetty, who starred in films like Cash, Bewafaa and Mohabbatein.

Shilpa's filmography includes Aag (1994), Hathkadi (1995), Tamil movie Mr Romeo (1996), Veedevadandi Babu and Auzaar (1997), Pardesi Babu (1998), Dhadkan (2000), Rishtey (2002), Garv, Phir Milenge (2004), Dus (2005), Shaadi Karke Phas Gaya Yaar (2006), and Life... In A Metro (2007).

In 2014, she produced the ill-fated Dishkiyaoon starring Sunny Deol and Harman Baweja.

In 2008, Shilpa hosted the second season of Bigg Boss. In 2009, Shilpa and husband Raj bought the Indian Premier League franchise cricket team Rajasthan Royals. Shilpa has judged all the series of Nach Baliye up till 2015.

Shilpa Shetty was last seen in 2008's Dostana, after which she made an appearance in Dishkiyaoon. Shilpa's chiselled appearance in a dance number in Dostana made her trend a lot and was much appreciated.

Meanwhile, Shilpa Shetty's Sunday-binge videos and photos are a huge hit with folks on the Internet. She's also authored a cook book and often shares cooking videos on social media.
