Anaganaga O Dheerudu is an upcoming Telugu fantasy-adventure film directed by Prakash Kovelamudi. The title directly translates into Once Upon a Warrior. The movie stars Siddharth and Shruti Haasan

The budget of the film, according to reports, has been Rs 27 crore and produced by Prakash's father, veteran director K. Raghavendra Rao. The magical star cast includes Siddharth, Shruti Haasan, Harshita and Lakshmi Manchu.
Harshita as Moksha: The story focuses on the journey of a nine year old girl with special healing powers, essayed by Harshita, who stays on the fictitious teardrop shaped land of Sangarashtra.
Siddharth as Yodha: Moksha is protected by a blind swordsman, Siddharth, who overcomes great challenges to do all that he can despite his handicap.

Shruti Haasan as Priya: Shruti Haasan is the stunning gypsy woman who is the swordsman's love interest, as their destinies have been tied together. This film marks Shruti's debut into Telugu films.
Lakshmi Manchu as Irendri: Exploring the inseparable bond between man and the myths, the little girl must save her little island from the clutches of an evil Queen Irendri. This is Lakshmi Manchu's debut in a negative role.
The film features an ensemble soundtrack by composers MM Keeravani, Salim-Sulaiman, Koti and Mickey J Meyer.

According to reports, Walt Disney Pictures agreed to co-produce the film with Raghavendra Rao's home banner (a Bellyful of Dreams Entertainment) during the production stage. Thus making this film the first South Indian production by Disney.
The film is slated for a worldwide release in January 2011.
The film will be released in Telugu, as well as in other regional languages.

Shruti was last seen in the 2009 Hindi film Luck, alongside Mithun Chakraborty, Imran Khan and Sanjay Dutt.
She held a double role in the film as Ayesha and Natasha Kumar.
Though that was deemed below average at the box-office, we hope Anaganaga O Dheerudu has more in store for us.
