Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor will be seen once again in Satish Kaushik's romantic drama Milenge Milenge.

The film's release date (9th July) was finalised recently. Then producer Boney Kapoor scheduled a promotional photoshoot for Shahid and Kareena, who had parted ways three years ago during the filming of their last hit film Jab We Met.

Rumours have been doing the rounds that both producer and director found it really difficult to get the two former lovers together for a photoshoot. After much deliberation, both Kareena and Shahid agreed for the shoot, but separately.

Produced by Boney Kapoor, Milenge Milenge is inspired by the 2001 Hollywood romantic comedy Serendipity starring John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale.

The movie has been delayed by about five years.

One of the reasons for its delay - in 2004, the film was suppose to be shot in Thailand but Shahid asked for a delay to attend the premiere of his film Dil Maange More, thus avoiding the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami that destroyed the hotel that the cast and crew had been scheduled to stay in.

Kareena plays an assistant choreographer and a student, named 'Priya' who believes in destiny and true love.

Shahid plays 'Amit', who falls in love with 'Priya' and tries his best to make her fall in love with him.

Lead pair of the movie, Shahid and Kareena were seeing each other while filming Milenge Milenge back in 2004. However, after their break up in 2007, there were rumours that the actors would not come together to finish the dubbing for the film, which was were eventually snubbed by the director Satish Kaushik.

Reacting to Kareena-Shahid break up, producer Boney Kapoor said, "...perhaps it was destined that the most romantic film featuring Shahid and Kareena would come after their relationship has ended."

Milenge Milenge also stars Satish Shah, Aarti Chhabria, Kiron Kher and Delnaaz Paul.

Reshammiya has brought together singers like Shreya Ghoshal,Alka Yagnik, Jayesh Gandhi, Sonu Niigaam, Suzanne D'Mello and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan to voice the tracks for the film.

There's one track sung by Himesh Reshammiya, Kuch Toh Baaki Hai, the lyrics of which have sparked off gossip about the real life ex-couple Kareena and Shahid.

The lead characters of the movie, 'Amit' and 'Priya' meet each other at a Youth Festival in Bangkok.
