South stars at Vishwaroopam premiere

Kamal Haasan organised a special premiere of Vishwaroopam for his friends in the Tamil Nadu film industry on February 6 in Chennai. The movie was temporarily banned in the state after protests from Muslim groups. Kamal Haasan agreed to re-edit some scenes and the movie will release in Tamil Nadu today, almost two weeks after its original release date of January 25.

Actress and politician Khushbu liked the movie and told NDTV that she did not find anything that shows Muslims in a bad light.
Actor Sarath Kumar was impressed by Kamal Haasan's efforts in the movie and said, "It's a great effort by Kamal Haasan. It was like watching an English movie. We wish him all the best."
Actress and choreographer Mumtaj, who looked chic in a white top and black trousers, said, "It's a wonderful movie, great cinematography and there's nothing that shows Muslims in bad light."

Actress and Kamal Haasan's niece Suhasini Maniratnam was dressed for comfort.
Kamal Haasan's brother and father of Suhasini, Charuhasan - an actor himself - was also in attendance at the premiere.
