Southern actress Kajal Agarwal is all set to make a splash in Bollywood romancing Ajay Devgn in the Hindi remake of Tamil film Singam.
-
However, this won't be Kajal's B-Town debut, she was earlier seen in 2004's Kyun... Ho Gaya Na, where she played Aishwarya's friend.
-
Singam is being remade by Rohit Shetty and will be Kajal's first Bollywood film as lead actress.
-
Kajal has made Telugu, Tamil and Kannada movies and hit big time with Chandamama (Telugu) and Saroja (Tamil).
-
But her moment in the sun came in 2009 with Telugu film Magadheera, her most successful film so far.
-
Kajal began her modeling career while she was in college.
-
Her first break came with veteran Tamil director's Bommalattam. However, the film was delayed and released only in late 2008.
-
Her first release was Lakshmi Kalyanam, a box office failure.
-
Next came Telugu films Pourudu and Aatadista but both failed to impress.
-
Her career blew hot and cold until her star making role in the critically acclaimed Magadheeran.
-
Kajal received accolades for her portrayal of a princess in Magadheera. The film broke several records.
-
Post Magadheera, Kajal has become one of the most sought-after actresses in the Telugu film industry.
-
Hope her second stint in Bollywood is also a success.
