Sridevi & Kamal Haasan, 30 years after Sadma
That's one intense look Sridevi and Kamal Haasan are sharing in this picture from the just-concluded IIFA Awards in Macau. That same intensity is what made the actors such a potent screen cocktail decades ago in films such as Moodru Mudichu, Moondram Pirai and its Hindi version, Sadma. Sadma, the tale of a young amnesiac rescued from a brothel, was 30 years ago, in 1983. Since then, Sridevi and Kamal Haasan have both gone their separate ways on-screen and redefined Indian cinema in many ways. Perhaps now, three decades later, the time is ripe for a celluloid reunion. We hope that, in this Kodak moment, Sri and Kamal had exactly the same thought.
