Speaking to the media, the actor said he hoped many more Bollywood filmmakers would shoot in Kashmir, which was a favourite location for cinematographers before the state was torn due to militancy in the '90s.

Fans gathered to watch the superstar but were turned away. A large posse of police and paramilitary forces have been deployed around the Aru area in Pahalgam to assure a peaceful stay for SRK, Yash Chopra, his son Aditya, Anushka Sharma and the nearly 100-member crew shooting on location.
After finishing the shoot in Pahalgam, they will head to Srinagar and start filming in the Zabarwan Hills, Dal Lake and Lal Chowk.
