Actress Bipasha Basu is all set to make her Hollywood debut in new Roland Joffe film Singularity.
She has been cast opposite American actor Josh Hartnett.
The movie is a love story set across two time periods and continents.
It tells the story of a British officer (Josh Hartnett) in colonial India who falls in love with an Indian woman (Bipasha) during the First Anglo-Maratha War of the 18th century.
Bipasha plays a Maratha warrior named Tulaja Naik.
The film has been shot in the Orchha district of Madhya Pradesh and Queensland in Australia.
Actor Abhay Deol also stars in the movie and for his role he underwent intensive training in Israeli martial arts and horse riding.
The film will be showcased at the Cannes International Film Festival this year.
