In the film, the first story (1910) is set in Lahore, where Priyanka plays a Punjabi girl, Aradhana, who is in love with a Muslim boy Javed, played by Shahid.
In the second story (1960), Shahid plays a struggling music director, Govind, and Priyanka is a famous actress, Rukhsar, and they fall in love in Mumbai.
Director-producer Kunal Kohli is returning to the big screen as a director after a gap of four-years. He last directed Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic. In between, he turned producer with Imran Khan-Deepika Padukone starrer Break Ke Baad.
