Sudhir Mishra files complaint against Payal

Filmmaker Sudhir Mishra has filed a complaint against Payal Rohatgi alleging that she had sent threatening messages to him, police said.
According to reports, the written complaint was made by the director after he received a number of intimidating text messages from the actress a few days ago.

Not long ago, there was a dirty war between this model-turned-actress and filmmaker Dibakar Banerjee.
The Bigg Boss reality star accused Dibakar of asking her to lift her shirt on the pretext of calling her fat. When she refused his advances, she was denied the role she had earlier worked so hard for.

Payal had commented, "I think Dibakar is hallucinating that I am disturbed. He is the one who goes to a shrink to ask why he can't be monogamous... no revertal, no reply from a man who'd earlier call me 20 times a month."

Dibakar hit back saying, "Because her texts were flirtatious I clarified in a frank and forthright way - that if i were ever to cheat on my wife it would be with a non-actor... other directors had also received such calls."

Not many people know that Payal Rohatgi, who became a household name after appearing on Bigg Boss 2, has a degree in Computer Engineering.

Payal was born on November 9, 1984 in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad to Veena Rohatgi and Shashank Rohatgi. She has a brother Gaurav Rohatgi and was brought up in a middle class family. She grew up in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

Payal entered the Miss India pageant in 2000 and went on to win the Miss Tourism World title in 2002 in Medellin, South America.

Payal has modelled for brands such as Amul, Nirma and Nescafe. She has also appeared in music videos by Silk Route and singer Kay Kay.

She made her Bollywood debut in Harry Baweja's 2002 remake of Hollywood teen comedy 'American Pie'- Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai?.

In Tauba Tauba, Payal played the love interest of a 15-year-old (Amin Gazi) and was quoted saying how she wanted to 'expose more than she was allowed to'.

After Tauba Tauba came Mazaa Mazaa, which was inspired by the Hollywood blockbuster 13 Going on 30. The film fizzled out.

In 2004 Payal bagged roles in some big banner productions like Mahesh Manjrekar's Rakht and Plan.

She tried her luck with a solo film on wife swapping, Fun: Can Be Dangerous Sometimes, but like her previous projects, this too bombed at the Box Office.

In an interview given to a leading website, Payal admitted that doing films like Tauba Tauba and Laila was 'a planned career move'.

In 2006 Payal was seen in 'Mr 100%', a film on the world of gigolos.

Payal played the role of a lesbian in the 2006 release Men Not Allowed.

In 2006, Payal got a major break with the Shahid-Kareena starrer 36 China Town.

Payal proved to be eyecandy on Bigg Boss 2 and her male housemates were not complaining, especially Rahul Mahajan. The show did for her what many movies failed to do.

Post her stint on Bigg Boss 2, she did her first ever photoshoot for Maxim magazine.

Payal Speak: "My biggest goof up was to expose in women-oriented films. This turned out to be a huge drawback for me as I didn't know the nuances of filmmaking at that time. I didn't know how these projects would depict me and how would they be eventually marketed."

However, what really works for them is the fact that they are doing so in films where their male co-stars are pretty established."
