Tamanna, Bharath in Priya Priyatama

Southern hottie Tamanna steps into the shoes of Bollywood beauty Kareena Kapoor for the Telugu remake of Jab We Met.

Priya Priyatama is the Telugu dubbed version of Tamil hit Kanden Kadhalai

The film has actor Bharath essaying the role played by Shahid Kapoor in the original version.

The film's audio in Telugu will be released soon.

Priya Priyatama has been directed by R Kannan and it has music by Vidya Sagar.

The film has been shot in Ooty, Kodaikanal, Pollachi, Madurai, Tanjore and Chennai.

Jab We Met, which released in 2007, earned Kareena her Filmfare Best Actor (Female) Award.

Earlier reports said National Award winner Dhanush and Trisha Krishnan would be cast in the film but that didn't work out.

After a long time Bharath is seen in a rom-com.

Bharath shot to fame with Kaadhal and Veyyil.

According to reports, Tamanna was hesitant about kissing co-actor Bharath on screen (as is in the last scene of Jab We Met) but after talks with the director she agreed to it.
