They may be some of the most resented faces on the small screen, at one time or the other. But they do get credit for making TV soaps come alive.

Meet some of the fear-inspiring vamps of Indian television, who have crossed all the limits to plot, scheme and conspire.

These are TV's baddest girls. But hate them all you will, the small screen would be just that much dimmer without their plotting, scheming and conspiring.

Urvashi Dolakia: Urvashi's portrayel of Komolika in Kasauti Zindagi Kay played a major role for her rise to fame.
Aruna Irani:: We loved Aruna Irani's deviousness on the big screen, and we love her as the mother-in-law from hell in popular soap Maayka.
Sudha Chandran: Bollywood's Nache Mayuri played the role of Ramola Sikand in Kahin Kisi Roz and her bindis became a trendsetter on TV.

Aashka Goradia:: Don't let her angelic look fool you – Aashka's a devil in disguise as the perpetually scheming sister in Laagi Tujhsey Lagan.
Kamya Punjabi: Kamya has played negative roles in many television serials such as Astitva...Ek Prem Kahani, Banoo Mein Teri Dulhann and Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki.
Sweta Kawatra: Sweta's played the role of Pallavi in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii to perfection.

Ashwini Kaleskar: Her character Jigyasa in the serial Kasamh Se was fearless, yet awe-inspiring. It won her the ITA award for Best actor in a negative role.
Rupali Ganguly: Versatile actress Rupali played the over-possessive wife in Sanjeevani, which became quite a hit.
Preeti Puri: Her most memorable vamp act has been in the serial Mamta in which she played the role of Tanisha, a spiteful woman.

Moon Moon: Hell hath no fury like Moon Moon scorned as Sampada in Kasauti Zindagi Kay, who framed her cheating husband for murder.

Playing the 'poor little rich girl' to the hilt, she mastered the art of manipulation as Tapasya in Uttaran.
Kavita Kaushik: Kavita played Manya, a psycho lover in Ekta Kapoor's Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii.

She is more famous as Malti bhabbi than by her name itself. In Bidaai, she plays a woman who is hungry for everything - power, money and much more.
Roshini Chopra: As Pia, she betrays everyone from her husband to her sister, and even her lover in Kasamh Se.
Sweta Keswani: When she's good, she's really good; but when she's bad, she's even better. Her good roles never gave her as much publicity as her wicked roles did. A case in point, is her ride on the dark side in Des Main Nikala Hoga Chand.
Achint Kaur: She played the character of Pallavi, who switched over to the dark side due to the circumstances in Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii.
