The Kapoors say farewell to Ganpati

As festivities wind down in Mumbai, Randhir Kapoor attended the Ganpati visarjan on September 18. He waved at his fans.

Randhir Kapoor was accompanied by brother Rajeev at the visarjan.

Rajeev Kapoor carried the beautifully decorated idol of Lord Ganesha that had been worshipped at R K Studios. Ganesh puja is an annual tradition for the Kapoors.

Elsewhere, actor Nana Patekar was also spotted saying a last farewell to Lord Ganesha.

Veena, who was wearing a bright yellow salwaar kameez, entered the shrine with flowers and a chaddar on her head.

The actress was then seen offering prayers at the shrine in the presence of the Dargah head.

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone offered prayers at Mumbai's famous Siddhivinayak Temple on Thursday, August 8, 2013 afternoon.

Deepika was most likely praying for the success of her much-awaited movie Chennai Express which released last evening.

Deepika looked simple but elegant in a light brown anarkali.

Deepika waved to her fans before leaving. The bright red tilak and the saffron cloth were indicators of prayers offered at the temple.

1. Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha offered prayers at the Ajmer Sharif Dargah on Tuesday, August 6, ahead of their upcoming film Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbai Dobaara!.

While Sonakshi was dressed in a white suit, Akshay chose a black ensemble for the occasion.

Akshay waved to the crowd that had gathered to catch a glimpse of the two Bollywood stars.

3. Akshay looked relaxed while Sonakshi – who was by now draped in a red dupatta - seemed somewhat overwhelmed by the press of people.

Jostling her way through the crowd, Sonakshi just couldn't put on a smiley face for her fans. We don't blame her.

Ekta Kapoor, the producer of the movie, was also seen offering prayers at the Ajmer Sharif Dargah. The movie is a sequel to the 2010 hit Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai.

Bollywood actor Imran Khan visited the Abdul Rehman Shah Baba Dargah for Iftar in Mumbai on Friday, August 2.

Imran faced a tough time jostling through all that crowd.

Imran seemed to get along really well with the children at the dargah who were all clamouring for an interaction with him.

Imran looked handsome in a traditional black pathani suit.

Pakistani actress Veena Malik visited the Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah in New Delhi on July 26, 2013.

The actress entered the shrine with flowers and a chaddar on her head.

The actress was dressed in a black suit with a golden border dupatta, as she offered her prayers at the shrine.

Veena Malik later told reporters there: “I'm a very religious person and it's a pleasure for me to break my roza at the Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah in this holy month of Ramadan.”

Ahead: Katrina prays at Salim Chishti's shrine

Actress Katrina Kaif visited the shrine of Sheikh Salim Chishti in Fatehpur Sikri on Thursday (July 18, 2013). According to reports, the actress wants to shoot a song sequence at the dargah.

This is reportedly Katrina's fifth trip to the dargah. She wore a white kurta and covered her hair with a dupatta.

Ahead: Cancer-free Manisha's first outing in India

Manisha Koirala is back in India after spending over six months in New York being treated for ovarian cancer. The actress made her first appearance in Mumbai today when she went to pray at the Siddhivinayak temple.

Good to see you back, Manisha.

Manisha covered her head with a yellow dupatta and looked cheerful and well.

Actor Vivek Oberoi, whose wife Priyanka is pregnant with their first child, was at the Sabarimala temple in Kerala to offer prayers and seek blessings for his family. Vivek has three films out this year, including Krrish 3 opposite Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra.

Actress Sunny Leone of Jism 2 fame offered prayers at Siddhivinayak temple in Mumbai with producer Ekta Kapoor.

Sunny went there as the duo wanted to perform aarti before starting the shoot for her second film Ragini MMS 2.

Bollywood star Katrina Kaif, who will soon be seen on the silver-screen in the much-awaited movie Jab Tak Hai Jaan, made a visit to the Ajmer dargah ahead of the movie's release on November 13. This is a tradition of sorts with Katrina who has visited Ajmer dargah the last few times she had a movie coming up. Katrina, who was once on the receiving end of the dargah authorities' ire for wearing a short skirt to the shrine while shooting Namaste London, was completely covered up this time.

The actress' visit comes in the wake of widespread condemnation after Mumbai's Haji Ali dargah banned women from entering it's sanctum sanctorum.

Bipasha Basu was in New Delhi to offer prayers at the Bhairon temple ahead of the release of Raaz 3.

The actress, who has literally burnt up the floor with her seductive Kya Raaz Hai, is hoping to repeat her box office success with the first Raaz which was one of the early hits in her career 10 years ago.

Bipasha, currently single, offering prayers at the temple. The original Raaz co-starred her then-boyfriend Dino Morea. Bipasha plays a fading actress who turns to black magic in the third installment of the horror series.

Bipasha's co-stars Emraan Hashmi and Esha Gupta were also in New Delhi, praying at the Hazrat Nizamuddin dargah.

Emraan and Esha, who have worked together in Jannat 2, offer prayers at the dargah.

Coming Up: Rani Mukherji prays at Shirdi

Rani Mukherji, who plans to build a bungalow in Shirdi, offered prayers at the Sai Baba temple in the city. The actress, who will soon be seen in Reema Kagti's Talaash opposite Aamir Khan, told reporters that she was anxiously awaiting the end to the dispute over her land at Shirdi: "I am a citizen of Shirdi. I am eagerly awaiting the dispute to end soon. As soon as I am through, I will have my own bungalow in Shirdi," she said.
