The Voice of India has drowned

  • Ishmeet Singh, was an 18 year old boy fro Ludhiana, who left school to enter the Star TV's talent show, voice of India. Ishmeet realised his singing talent in class nine, when he sang impromptu and won praise from his teachers
  • As it became evident that Ishmeet was in Voice of India for the keeps, he confessed that singing was the easy part, but impressing the audience was what he found difficult
  • Ishmeet didn't let the pressure of the competition come in between his friendship with his opponent Harshit Saxena. The day before the finale, he was quoted saying, ...there is nothing to lose anymore. We are both winners.
  • Ishmeet was announced the first winner of Star's Voice of India in November last year. He was elated to have legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar and Bollywood heart-throb Madhuri Dixit announce his name as the winner of the show
  • Ishmeet then went on to participate in the Clinic All Clear Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar , where he was up against former talent show winners Abhijit Sawant and Rooprekha Bannerjee amongst others
